Old school loud terp profile?

Well, harvest is going down today on the blueberry muffins. Such a pleasant smelling plant.
For the next grow I'm looking for something funky, gas, skunk, sour, cheese flavor. Anyone have any updated info on where I can order some seeds that might fit that bill?
I like the desert lines, but there is something about loud funk smelling smoke.
Everyone claims to have that old school flavor, but I know they stretch on their claims at times.
Any advice on where to grab a few? Did you or someone you know grow it? How was the terp profile? Thanks!

Most of the new stuff has very low terpene levels, so when something comes out that has ANY taste at all, it gets called "loud" or whatever....pffffsss I'm pretty old and, so far, in my experience with both medical and recreational weed, even the best of it has just been "okay" in comparison to the old school, (and often poorly-grown) landrace strains from the 70's -which I personally experienced. IF there was any of that type of marijuana still around, then that's what everyone would be smoking and all the other stuff would fade away.

Trust ONLY the opinions of old people who were alive when real skunky, strong smelling marijuana was around. :)

I get what you mean man but we kinda lucky in some ways that we can get some not all of course as some arent the same but like take afghani genetics for example people have more access to them now than ever before least you dont have to hop on a plane and go get em yourself i agree the term loud is over used as a marketing thing far too often least you got the likes of therealseedcompany and some others trying to preserve the older stuff the saying old is gold rings true alot of the time imo i personally miss the good import hashes most of all

Yes the hash was also great and that was because the plants were so full of flavor. Hash can only be as good as the plants that it comes from.

As far as Afghani....You're right. Those genetics were not available when I was a young guy. All or most everything we got came from South America -and more often than not, Mexico. I know that there were times when we got bales of ditchweed, but there were also times when we got the blueberry skunk.
When the Vietnam war was nearing the end, I knew some guys who brought back ALL kinds of fun things. One of those was Thai weed and also the legendary opiated Thai sticks, too.....but that's a story for another day...:) Those flavors were so unique and distinctive, though. If you smoked them once, then you never forgot them.
I have heard that there are seed companies that specialize in old genetics and/or landrace genetics....I've tried some of them....but I've had no luck in finding the real deal. And, like I say, IF it was around, then everyone would be on it and it couldn't be kept a secret. It's just that it doesn't exist, anymore. It's like all dog breeds came from wolves....but, after years of breeding, we get Chihuahuas! I don't think there's any way to work a Chihuahua back to a wolf and I'm not sure we can every take these mediocre hybrid strains and turn them back into super flavored old school stuff, either.

It's being done. It just takes alot of time and alot of effort.

It took 30ish years of black market production to breed out the dank, rank, and stank weed, it might take even longer to bring it back. Only time will tell.

I know the chems are still growing strong and putting off that loud.

I look forward to the day that I find some of it. I've tried many Chem-based hybrids for that very reason....but...meh...not really in the same ballpark, in my option. Yes....relatively speaking they seem to have more of a smell than some others, but nothing that would give a grow away like the old strains used to do.

We seen some thai tbh we seen more African and weed from the Caribbean than anything else before the name game strains and indoor took off where im at in Scotland for along time it was 98% hash we did get odd bit of south American and stuff but its rarer vs the frequency you guys in the states woulda had now its all hype stuff same as anywhere most want sadly

It's rare to get the real classics being as so much now days are hybrids. I've never got to experience the original strains myself.

Try Jinxproof. I'm on my third run in a row of his gear. Some of the loudest dry bud I've grown recently. It will definitely stink up your car (even on a chilly day. ha). Theres some citrus but always followed with some gas and skunk. Makes sense hes a bit older (in his 50s) and tends in my opinion back to the days of the classic "kind bud" indicas from back in the day. And another positive worked closely and was buddies with Subcool for a long time.

Chili Verde by HBK genetics was the loudest plant I have grown. Emerald cup winner and seeds are still available.
