Useful Seeds

What’s your drying/curing process?
Hey. So i usually chop near the base of the plant, separating the plant into about 4 bushes, with about 2 or 3 colas per. I trim any large fan leaves with long stems, leaving lots of fan leaves to dry trim. I hang these “ mini plants” on string my closet or tent as to where they are not touching other hanging “mini plants”. I leave door open in tent or closet in a dark cold room( as close to 60 degrees f as I can. I have an ocillating fan about 7 feet away, kind of makes the plants spin slowly. I have pretty low humidity, so I hang dry these mini bushes for about 4 or 5 days, or until the leaves are dry and the buds are noticeably smaller. Still moist with bendy stems. I then huck the buds from the main stems (keeping remaining leaves on for now) and make a single layer of buds in foil lasagna pans( with lids) from grocery store, shoe boxes work fine too.. I put lil hygrometer thermometers inside the pans with the buds.I open the lids once or twice a day and kind of shake the pans lightly and rotate the buds, for another ~3 days or until the humidity in the closed pan is around 60-65. At this point still trying to keep temps as close to 60f as possible.. Then I full trim and throw in jars. I open the jars for like half an hour/ an hour a day ( perfect chance to grab a bud or 2 ;) and shake the buds around in the jar gently, leaving the jar open and in its side. Re cap jar and repeat for about a week or so.

Sounds longwinded but it’s easy and I was trying to be as descriptive as possible. Any questions please ask. Been doing it this way for a looong time with great results. Thanks for asking and happy growing!!

GREAT job!!! Your pics and description are taking me down memory lane. OC x CD is my favorite strain i ran from useful (other than the blackjack x CD)

Sour Bubble x Khalisi 1 & 2, top of the 8th, the shorter one has turned almost black in leaf color while the larger one has stayed green. Shorty is frostier and has a blueberry baked goods scent while the green lady is much more sour and over ripe fruit smells. Mouth watering almost.

Thank you, is very unique taste find myself craving it over my usual sweet fruit ones, I have the most tasty one as a mom. Useful did a good job can't wait to grow more strains of his. I have 2 blueberry chocolate in veg now :)

Been a bit since I've been around here, was thinking I got these as freebies from Useful a few years back??
Anyone here grow these out?

20231130_134008.jpg

So I only got a few seeds to pop, ended up with 1 female.
She was a late comer to the party and only got a 3 wk veg.
Here she is at 44 days since the flip.....
_DSC1886.JPG_DSC1886-crop.JPG

Smells of pine, hash and some kinda funk, never grew either of the parent strains.
Should be some good smoke I hope!
