The pic I posted is Day 57 from sprout I believe. The Orangeadelic seem to take an extra week or two to start flowering as well. MiRedBuds does have a thread with them growing with a little info on them.
Nice. I usually veg for 4 to 6 weeks because I like bigger plants, I'm curious to see if they'll fill out a 3 gallon well. I was gonna bop by your thread once they sprouted. :]

I've never really understood the appeal of autos. Having a plant tell me when it's time to flower. My young plants always look ugly due to neglect and mistreatment, and need some time to recover before flower.
Speed is nice. That's the biggest thing I can see. That said, while I do believe they aren't easier, I do think they take some of the thinking out of the process with light schedule and timing crops and stuff. Plus it's fun to just toss a rando in an open space.

Agree. They were free, so I am willing to be curious rather than dubious, haha. Although I usually get to the neglect phase in flower, haha
I always see people cutting their autos early because they're supposed to be fast. o_O I'm not expecting them to have a shorter flower time after stretch than a photo.

How many brain cells does it kill to switch a timer from 18-6 to 12-12? I mean I get there are noobs who have a sad plant, a week after germing, with 2 leaves asking if they should flower yet, but if they're THAT kind of noob I just point them at a Cervantes book and tell them to get out of my hair.

It's adjusting a single dial on a rotary timer or few buttons on a digital. We're not exactly programming a light switch rave on a DMX controller system. THAT would be lighting that requires thought.

Reminds me of the distillation grow job, they asked me if I could 'handle' a certain brand of industrial lighting timer. I replied. "Never heard of it, but I programmed a 256 channel DMX board running stage lights for 2 years. I'm going out on limb and guessing that timing a light show to snycronize with a live band over 2 hours is a bit more fidgity than switching a timer from 18 hours on to 12."

I have grown a few autos. Haze, Fast critical and Death star were ok. Cream, Back to the future II and OG cheese were a waste of grow space.
As the pundits have noted and I would concur, start them in the pot they will finish in. Loose loamy soil. They would probably do better in coco or hydro. I actually had the best luck in miracle grow. If you get one that starts flowering at 2 weeks old you're fucked.

Bla bla bla...

When you cherry pick, yes. But if you take the whole sentence that I specifically wrote out to hopefully avoid the stock response of "18-6 to 12-12 iSn'T thaT HarD!!!" There are a number of things that cause stress over arrow, light schedule is just one of them.
