I’m not well versed yet on target humidity differences between flower and veg. I’ll look that up. Figured it would likely be lower in veg, and so wouldn’t hurt the flower room to intake the cooler, lower hum air from veg.Your going to want an extractor per tent.
Think about it. You want different humidity in each, besides pulling out of one will only draw passively out the other and you'll be all over the place. Tents aren't sealed.
Now as to what fan you need, depends on your ambient temps in your basement.
That's your starting point, then your air is going to rise depending on your wattage and your air exchange rate.
What works for you in your basement won't work for some guy in a hot attic ect.
For me a 6" works for an 8x4.. but one 6" can be totally different to another..
I don't see the point in having both COBs and boards in the sense you are wanting.
You'd spend a bunch on cree 3590s for not reason when any pre built bar light is more efficient these days.
But if you want a bit of DIY try looking at grow light Australia 's high cri boards.
I'm assuming you can vent your air ?
If you want to be double sure use both a standard filter and an inline, but you then need to add a bit on your cfm because your increasing the resistance somewhat.
Basement stays cool, around 50-60F through most of the year, maybe 65F max in the summer. Haven’t tested humidity, but I do know that it’s higher than I’m going to want overall, but will also be offset to some degree by increasing the temp of air across the lights and plants.
The point of the COBs and boards is as posted in the original post i.e. deeper penetration, along with good distribution via decreasing the hotspot in the center of the tent by removing the huge lights that sit directly in the center. Also allows me to not have to move the lights up and down, and creates an environment where the plants will grow up into whatever light level they need on their own accord. I can build the COB bars for the same or less as any bar light out there except those that aren’t of sufficient quality anyway. And, efficiency isn’t my only goal. I’ll look up those Australia boards, never heard of em.
I can figure out a way to vent the exhaust out, but my thought was just to vent it to the much larger room next to my grow room, which has far more volume and better ventilation via the house AC. Just dunno if that will work, or if it will cause condensation issues in the adjacent room. I like the double filter idea, I’ve been looking through which type of filter to use. AC Infinity does make a refillable filter, which seemed interesting. Don’t know how applicable being refillable might be, though.
lots to go through, but thank you for the ideas!
