Can Somebody help me out?

I do the same in Promix. It's like slowmo coco. But I use 300ppm tap water as my base not 0 ec.
My well water is in that 230-270 range. But in my case it causes me more problems when I use it that way. I'm not convinced that the mineral content is in a makeup or a form that the plants can access. and it tends to cause other deficiencies and lock outs easily. I've had way more personal luck by removing what's in it and building up from there.

If you're growing 'soilless' (aka similar to Promix HP, etc.), you shouldn't be treating it as soil. It took me a grow or two to figure that out...I'm in Promix (peat w/pearlite mildly enhanced w/ a little lime).

I don't alternate between any feeding/watering. It's feed every time, I aim for a pH down around 5.8 but am happy if it's a few tenths below or above that. I filter my water down to 0EC, then build it back up; 2.5ml of Cal/Mg, between 1-2.5g of Epsom salts, then my nutrients. When I feed, I aim at about 20% run off every time. For me in 5g bags, that schedule generally look like every-other day or sometimes every 3 days once the plants have gotten into the end of veg through flower.
Thanks for the input,
So when you start feeding your plants?
Whats the average EC?

Do you buffer, moist the medium before using?

I don't feed at all germination week (I don't do any of that 'paper towel' stuff, just seed into moist Promix. After that first week, I start with mild feeding and ramp it up.
-For me that's:
Week 1: 1g of GH Maxigro
Week 2: 2g (1g Gro/1g MaxiBloom)
Week 3: 3g (1g Gro/2g Bloom)
Week 4: 4g: (1g Gro/3g Bloom)
Week 5: 5g: (5g Bloom)

Again, I drop in 2.5ml of Ca/Mg per gallon of water & start at 1g of Epsom and ramp that up to 2 or 2.5, depending on what the plant seems to want. If a plant is sensitive and I get tip burn at 5g I pull it back a little bit. Once I hit 5g of Maxi, I don't push higher unless a plant looks hungry...and I stay with all MaxiBloom for the rest of the grow.

Right now in flower I'm also using some GH Liquid KoolBloom @ 2 or 2.5ml per gallon.

I just mixed up some feed for later today, and my EC is 1.85, so on a PPM500 scale it's 930ish PPM, and give or take each feed I'm in that 1.8-1.9EC range.

When I feed, I don't do any pre-treatment on the soil. I go slowly and let the first liter of water soak in before continuing if there's surface tension/resistance to it absorbing in. I really want 20%+ runoff to make sure that I'm pushing any old feed out of the medium. In 5g bags filled to the top, each feed is 3 gallons.

This is what my current plant looks like with that feeding regime:

...Usually I grow out 2 plants in my tent in the fall but you can see the bag tucked on the right side...that was an unfortunate unexpected Blue Dream auto that I harvested last weekend. Must have been a mix-up at the seed supplier. :(

The problem began before the seed was germinated. You should never see purple stems on a seedling. Too much Ca in the medium not enough P in the feed.

I'm just gonna leave this here. I've listened to it and it resonates with cannabis struggles 100%. Unlike most weed grower videos I've tried to watch who just speak out their ass.

Thanks man, lot of good information there... I see people using maxibloom with really good results. I wanted to try i out, but I cant find it in here.

Do you have the aproxximately EC for this ?:
Week 1: 1g of GH Maxigro
Week 2: 2g (1g Gro/1g MaxiBloom)
Week 3: 3g (1g Gro/2g Bloom)
Week 4: 4g: (1g Gro/3g Bloom)
Week 5: 5g: (5g Bloom)

You said each feed is 3 gallons...
If you have 4 plants in 5 gallon pots you have to mix 12 gallon of nutrients to feed them?

Do you think I should use epsom salts too? Whats the biggest advantage of it?

Sorry for the noob questions

and thank you again for your time brother

My readings for nutrients per gram, per gallon of water are:
Epsom salts: 70ppm; .14EC
Ca/Mg (GH): 30ppm; .06EC (per ml)
Maxi: 110ppm; .22EC

So you can calculate from there what the readings end up looking like if you want.

Epsom salts are an easy application for magnesium. I use it because without it I start getting magnesium deficiencies, especially starting around 3rd week of flower. I generally go light on it (1g) before then, and ramp up as needed. If you're not finding signs a magnesium deficiency don't use it. :)

In terms of volume or timing of water/feed...it's going to be dependent on a bunch of other inputs in your grow.

That little auto I harvested was planted at the same time as the photoperiod...it was in the same sized bag (5g), but really got watered half as much in terms of frequency as well as me only giving it 2 gallons of water/feed rather than 3. I knew not to feed as often or much because: 1) the medium didn't dry out nearly as quickly though it was in the same environment as the photoperiod and 2) when I did feed it, I got enough runoff with 2 gallons rather than 3. Schedule, amount and strength are all dependent on what the plants tell you they want or need.

Also, warmer temperatures mean you'll feed/water more because of evaporation. Humidity of your environment also counts. The amount of light you provide for your plants is part of the equation, and of course each strain, pheno and sometimes just individual plants drink different amounts. Though after a bunch of grows with the same gear, timing, etc. I have a reasonable idea of what to expect.

I generally don't do 4 plants at a time, because the tent gets tight as well as I just don't need to maximize quantity. Also it takes more time to feed/water, tend to the plants themselves (train, snip here and there, etc.)...So I only do 2 at a time and I grow them out a bit more before flowering so they fill the tent. But yes, it would mean 12 gallons of feed each time if I had 4 similar plants going. It's not horrible though, because I'm putting the same amounts in across all the gallons then I'm pH testing then adjusting only one of the gallons and once I know how much to pH Up that gallon I just do the same to the others and don't test any of them.

Hey man, thanks for sharing your readings! Will help a lot :)

Also nice trick tought!: "I'm putting the same amounts in across all the gallons then I'm pH testing then adjusting only one of the gallons and once I know how much to pH Up that gallon I just do the same to the others and don't test any of them."

I feel like I learned more reading a couple good responses in this thread than when I try to find the answers myself.

GRATITUDE!

Runoff was around 0.7EC (378ppm hanna scale).
Sadly I dont have acess to basic stuff you guys have there, this soiless that Im using was the best peat/perllite soil mix I could find.
Also, Ive seen some people here using coco blocks, they say you must wash it and buffer it otherwise you end up with problems...

I think the Ph went down too quick cause I let it dry too much and nutes concentrated lowering the ph. But plants seems to be loving life right now, I willl keep an eye on thoses runoffs.

day 28 today and they are growing much faster!
Topped them today too

let me ask you something, by any chance you have a GrowDiaries account? I have my grow diarie there and I love it how they organize stuff by weeks with pictures and infos. Feel more like a linear aproach.

Lets keep in touch!

thank you again brother!
Yo man, sorry busy week for me. Hell yeah, glad to see them looking good. I don’t have a grow diaries account but I’m going to start one

Hey guys, just swinging by to give you an update on the plants...

The pH levels are holding steady at 6.2. I had to do a few waterings with pH 7, but now the runoff is on point.

The growth is looking solid. I topped them on day 28, and on day 39, I did a bit of training using some bending clips I found on AliExpress.

Big thanks once again to everyone who took the time to offer assistance and show some love and care.

You guys are truly awesome!

Hello there guys,

hope somebody will help me out to indentify whats going on....

My plants are showing some signs of yellowing and burning. Dont know if is lack of nutrients or excess. Maybe something else.

First of all, Here is some information of what ive been dong so far:
View attachment 5341366

The problem started week 2, I posted somee pictures here on riu and people said it was nutrient burn + overwatering.

Today is day 26 from sprout.

Maybe this has already been mentioned, I didn’t really look through the comments.
Looks like a soiless medium and you let it dry back to much. Keep her moist and feed around .5-.6

A little update:

Today day 49 from sprout, changed the light schedule to 12/12 so Day 1 Bloom.

Notice some nute burn signs 4 days ago, gave plain water last feeding, Runoff was 369ppm/Ph:6.4. Ive been following the feed, feed, water schedule but the Deluxe Surgar Canes seem to be very sensitive over 600ppm and start burning.

Next feeding will be:
1701186166625.png
This mix is coming out about 950ppm. I will dilute it to 500ppm and see what happens

Week 8 - day 49_00130089.jpgWeek 8 - day 49_00130090.jpgWeek 8 - day 49_00130091.jpgWeek 8 - day 49_00130092.jpgWeek 8 - day 49_00130093.jpg

Let me know what you guys think

Peace!
