I know this has been discussed a million times here, but I'm lazy this morning. Quick question.. I'm firing up the ol hydro set up and forgot what I did last time for mixing up the pool shock. I had a shock olution mixed up in a 1 gallon jug and than put in so many ml of that per 5 gallons. I mix up my nutes and what not into a 5 gallon jug then dump that into my resevoir. I misplaced my notes and forgot the ratios.. Thanks for any help!

The search function works as expected.

From a previous post of mine:

1 gram of 50% pool shock per gallon:

500mg CalHypo/128 oz = 3.9mg/oz
3.9mg/3.785L 1ppm
I.e. 1 ounce per gallon of concentrate 1 ppm free Chlorine

You can tinker with the quantities to get the concentration you want. For example, you could add 30 grams of 50% Pool Shock/G and use 1ml/G to get 1ppm Chlorine.
