O man that sounds real good. I never tried straight SSH just crosses with it and those have been great. I’m a sucker for a good sativa.Super Silver Haze from Mr. Nice. I have some flowering without pollination now as well.
Mr. Nice's SSH are terrific, the Greenhouse not so much although I did cross Mr.Nice's with Greenhouses too and haven't grown any of those. Hopefully @shnkrmn will grow some of those out too and let us know. He's a bettter grower than I am so he may get a better product. Best high I've had since 1968 with Mr.Nice's though LOL No paranoia and no alpha adrenergic 2 agonist activation in the onset. Highly recommend them.O man that sounds real good. Wow I feel like I've been missing out, I'm a big sativa fan. I'll have to check them out.Mr. Nice's SSH are terrific, the Greenhouse not so much although I did cross Mr.Nice's with Greenhouses too and haven't grown any of those. Where did you grab your pack from?Subbed, LOL. Late to the party. Nice work. I'm finishing up my first ever seed run.
@curious2garden made the seeds I'm growing out now. She's very generous.Where did you grab your pack from?
Sorry to interrupt, but were you using the SNS 209 before you got the mites, or was that part of the solution going forward?I got a question about fighting russet mites so I figured I would post it here as well so other people could benefit. I got russet mites two years ago and felt a sense of dread come over me thinking I would lose all my genetics. If you do get russets, don't panic and you need to take it as an opportunity to improve as a grower and gain some valuable pest fighting knowledge. Do not think of it as a set back. Below is my method I used to beat them and they've never come back since. Other people I'm sure have their way as well but this is what I found to work. I should also mention this is only for people that want to save genetics they hold close to them. If you don't care about losing genetics then just kill all your plants off and leave your room clean and empty for 3 to 4 weeks before growing again.
Russet Mite Killing Guide
Items Needed:
- Micronized Sulfur (I use bonide brand, 2tbsp per gallon)
- Sprayer (I use a $100 electric paint sprayer)
- Purecrop1
- Cheap USB digital microscope for checking for bugs.
- Kill all flowering plants (I burned them all but you could also put them in trash bags and throw them away)
- Selected only the plants I wanted to save from the vegging area and killed off the rest.
- For the plants I wanted to save I stripped all branches and leaves until there was only a couple leaves left on the plant at the top. Burn or trash all this stripped material too.
- I then sprayed Purecrop1 on the plants from the top all the way down the trunk and also the soil and coating the underside of the leaves. Spray Purecrop1 once a day for a week. Only spray when the lights are off and the temperature is not over 90 degrees.
- After one week switch to spraying once every other day and monitor to make sure the plants are not getting burned.
- When your plants are large enough to take clones from do so. Dip each clone into sulfur for 30 seconds and swirl it around. Keep your clones in a separate room away from the vegging plants.
- Once your clones are ready to be rooted dunk them one more time in sulfur for 30 seconds and then plant them. Monitor your clones and check them for russets every day or so.
- When you know your clones are healthy and growing well, kill off the plants in your veg room.
- After your veg and flower room are empty, clean them and make sure you don't have any plant material laying around.
- Leave those rooms empty for 3 to 4 weeks. Russets need plant material to feed on and if you take away their food source they'll all die out.
- After the 3-4 week timeframe has passed. Confirm you don't see russets on your clones and if they're clean then you can bring them back into your grow rooms and start a new.
- To prevent them in the future you can spray with Purecrop1 once a week and also use SNS 209 as a systematic preventative.
