Can someone tell me about "Fireballs"?

I got 5 freebie Fireballs seeds with my last purchase of Chernobyl (Slymer cut) from Bob's Bitchen Seeds. If anyone else is growing this strain or knows anything about what to expect, then I would sure appreciate it. Thanks.
FAK x cherry puff. Genuity made it for an old seedbank called "breeders boutique". Super photogenic

Edit: FAK = fire alien kush

Thanks! Can you tell me how it grows? The two seedlings that I have growing now seem a bit on the small side. Is it a genetically-purple strain by chance?

Color will vary. I had 3 different females and they ranged from green to purple, purple staying the smallest and green the biggest if I recall correctly.
Uniform structure, slightly slow on the veg side.
Nice uniform finished buds, sort of a soft kush type flavor. Very neutral flavor, in a good way.

Got the freebie pack a while back Dec 2021 I think. Only had 3 make it, dont remember if germ issues or I let them damp off. I do think they were pretty slow on the veg side.

I had bad herm issues with them, 2 females and even the male started pushing a few pistils. The females had both hanging sacs and exposed nanners in the buds. I picked most off but left a few, I'm glad I did cuz I got a hand full of s1 from each.

Smell wise both the females had super strong gassy smells, not like petroleum more like model airplane glue with a undertone of cherry. Really strong terps, my eyes were literally watering during trim. My main reason for preserving is to hopefully try and integrate whatever gene created that quantity of terpene production with other cool profiles I find.

Smoke wise, I don't remember lol, it was a year ago and I was in the middle of war with spider mites so I wouldn't use that run to gauge quality. Super frosty though, almost as frosty as the chernobyl which is one of the frostiest I have run.

I have 2 of the s1 from one of the plants running now, just started actually interacting on the site so I haven't posted any grows yet.

Wow! My Fireballs is on the right (sorry about the poor pic.) Mine is very green....lots of trichomes....small-ish buds..smells like straight cat piss! This phenotype is taking its time about finishing but I'm looking forward to trying it...Not really a big fan of cat piss smell, though.zzzz.jpgzzz.jpg

I flowered one similar to this. When I jarred the smell wasn’t there and the jars ended up in the back. 6 months later I was cleaning out unused stock and the fireballs turned dank. Smelled strongly of mint and anise, the effects were a bit heavy for me but others loved it. I’d grow again.

@genuity absolutely killed this Chuck IMO.
I’ve kept FB’s in my garden for almost 10yrs now, still my favorite smoke.
Hi Bob!

How would you describe the Fireballs plant? Mine has very short internode spaces and lots of branches -very bushy. Smells like pee at 9 weeks and seems like it wants to keep flowering for a couple more weeks. It's still drinking a lot of water!

I'm just looking for other people's opinions/expectations (especially Bob, who said it's his favorite). I was actually expecting it to have some kind of "cherry" terpene profile. But, so far, like I say, it's straight cat piss smell in the tent. I know there is a Cat Piss strain, so I tried to do some detective work and looked up the Fireballs lineage...SHEEESH! This plant has a LOT of lineage of all kinds of different things -none of which are the Cat Piss strain. But, strains do change their terpene profiles at different stages of development so maybe it's going to change. It's at Day 66 as of today and it looks like it could go another week. Is that consistent with other people's experience with it? It's sure a pretty-looking plant at this point...

I couldn't agree more! Absolutely as you described. I just opened a Grove Bag that I've had an ounce of it curing in for the last several months. It has a VERY understated flavor. It reminds me of what pure THC distillate tastes like in a way. Not very terpy at all. It IS a very potent strain, though and it's absolutely ridiculously coated in trichomes. I flowered mine for 77 days and it was fully ripe when I harvested it.
