GH MaxiGro & MaxiBloom users?

I've used MaxiBloom from start to finish in coco and soil. No calmag and no problems. In fact I never use calmag regardless of whether I'm growing hydro, coco, or soil. All you have to do is use nutrients that already have enough of both in them. The cheaper dry nutrients usually have everything the plant needs unlike some of the fancy cannabis specific bottled nutes that leave things out so they can sell you more different bottles.

Also, unless there is legitimate reason not to, for instance being on a well with extremely hard water then always use tap water which will have calcium in it.

Thanks for the info. Let's say I'm using very soft tap (< 100ppm), would you add calmag on days that you water without Maxibloom?

I am in Promix HP and on Day 42 of flip to 12/12. So far I have been using Gaia Green but my plants look very hungee. I am in 5 gallon pots and maybe that just aint gonna cut it for organic nutes.... Anyhow, I'm going back to Maxibloom, mid flower because what the heck!

General Hydroponics Maxi and any brand of Coco. Brick or bag, doesn't matter. You will notice way faster growth and bigger growth. I did 8 MAC Muffin plants all in 15 gal pots, the only difference is some pots are super soil some are coco/maxi and the plants that were given coco/maxi have already been moved to flower 2 weeks ago while the plants in super soil are still vegging. Organics are not nearly as fast growing as soilless with salt ferts. IN MYEXPERIENCE.

Use MaxiGro for VEG maxiBloom for flower, don't be a lazy person and avoid maxigro, it has a different formulation that is definitely better for veg, just be careful to not burn your plants with it, start out with like 1/4 what they say to use and go up from there in 2-3 day intervals very slightly.

Good luck. Gaia green and other organic "dry amendments" are all slow, they are designed to slowly break down as the plant grows, so slower nutrition = slower growth in my eyes.

Hmmm, my experience on feed is a bit different.....

On my current grow I'm using MaxiGro/Bloom with two plants, one in a hempy bucket with perlite and the other in a 2 1/2 gallon fabric bag with ProMix HP.

At day 71 both are up to 6g/gallon of MaxiBloom ! No other additives...

They both were runts I decided to give a chance and finally started growing about a month ago

Wedding Cheesecake Auto, a month ago she was 20" high..

Once she passed 48" high I super cropped all of her top branches. She's drinking 1/2 gallon per day.



The CBD Lemon auto was 13" high a month ago, she's now a respectable 36" !

She's drinking 3/4's of a gallon every three days or so...



Neither of them have lost or been trimmed of any leaves !

What a deal!

Nobody needs to add calmag to maxibloom ever.

Quoting my post from last December because I have changed my mind about calmag. Started growing a strain that looked mag hungry from the start so I added calmag to every watering and I'm really impressed with the color and vigor of my plants now. I assumed my 300ppm tap water would be sufficient and it was but it's better with calmag. As always, ymmv.

Not bad! I tend to need 7-8 grams per gallon but I am also not using any additives other than Armor Si for pH UP and I am running co2 supplementation. Also I grow in 15 gallon pots and only feed once a day, they are big mamas.

You would definitely be happy with Maxigro/bloom. Jack's is good too, but the ease of use and results that the Maxi series brings makes it hard not to choose. The most important thing to check when looking at mineral salts is the heavy metal content. If you lookup Maxibloom here https://apps1.cdfa.ca.gov/fertilizerproducts/, you'll see that Arsenic, Cadmium, and Lead are all "ND" or not detectable. Maxigro tests under the limits for all three as well, although a very small amount is there, the reason being Maxigro has a micronutrient pack added to it, while Maxibloom does not. Micronutrients are very hard to add to a product without adding some heavy metals. General Hydroponics have always used clean salts-they don't use "the cheapest materials available" and you can tell by using that database, and looking up other products from other companies and seeing how loaded they are with heavy metals by comparison. GH is owned by Hawthorne, which is owned by Scott's, which IS NOT owned by Monstanto, btw.

Advanced also uses high quality salts, as does Jack's. Any of these three lines would be fine to use, but I also like to eliminate bottles from my grow, so I've been switching between Jack's and Maxi series, but keep going back to Maxi. It's a fine choice, easy to use, and Maxibloom is one of the CLEANEST products on the market-your buds will have fewer heavy metals than most other mineral salt grows and the majority of organic grows. Keeping them in the 8 oz cups actually had caused some lower leaf issues by the time I transplanted to the normal solo cups. I'm going to use the same 1.5 gal air pots this time, but I'm thinking of doing 8 cola mainlines with these but still keep the plants small (minimal veg time). I haven't...
