How do my seedlings look?

Hey guys, haven't posted in a while. This is my 5th grow. I sowed 8 seeds on 9/26. Three have germinated, still waiting on the other 5, but those were old seeds gifted from a friend, so no expectations on them.

These seedlings sprouted in order by size: bagseed (largest), feminized Romulan, Pirate Radio. My concern is that new growth is yellowish/lime green. They were on just water at first. I put them in nutrient solution on 10/1: Sensigrow A/B and added a little bit of Sensizym. They are sitting in 4L of solution, 32mL of Sensigrow A/B (16mL each) and 2mL Sensizym and appear to be doing better now. They are all dropping new roots and continue to show veg growth, just a little slower than past grows.

Romulan is some gooood shit. :joint:
I'm super excited for this one in particular because I've never had true Romulan. Decided to give it a go after having Cotton Candy Romulan because the qualities I enjoyed were apparently from the Romulan side, according to what I've read. The guys at the shop recommended it to me based on the terps I like.

Unfortunately the other seeds never sprouted... but nevertheless, I have 5 of each. I used a 1% H2O2 solution to soak the remainder overnight, as advised by Debacco University on YT. Those strains are Strawberry Blonde and Golden Strawberry. I heard Golden Strawberry is a cross with Golden Goat. I LOVVVVVVVED Golden Goat, so I'm pretty excited about that one, too. I played some guitar after gravity bong rips of GG, and my guitar (on tube amp) sounded like an 8-bit synth afterward. The last strain I haven't mentioned, though, is Humdinger. I am debating whether to sow those now or wait until I have something in flower.

I remember Romulan from way back but figure “ latest strains “ are probably been diluted genetically and now is some stupid : Butterscotch Romulicorice ir some other fake.

That is one strain i should have vaulted some seeds.
OG strains are getting pretty scarce. But who knows , maybe there is some small farm breeder keeping OG strains alive.

Guess i better start snooping around now …. God dammit :bigjoint:

Some update pics (these are larger than 4k res, open in a new tab to see full detail)! Bagseed is rolling out first true leaves, Romulan soon to follow with its new growth, and the Pirate Radio seedling still looks so bizarre. It appears to the naked eye that the yellowing leaves are darkening up a bit. I turned up the power on the Phantom light a bit, hoping that helps... but now the tent temp is 77°F as a result. I dome these up with clear solo cups now, and that might be helping a bit.

Agreed! When I buy seeds, I'm usually looking for OG strains myself. There is also a lot of this hop latent viroid spreading, or so I hear. So I'm a little more selective about who I buy from. You can still find seeds of Romulan online.

honestly looks good my brother used advanced nutrients with rockwool / coco and when he would grow seedlings in rockwool he would always start them off in 1ml per liter of grow part a and b but he used RO water.
Interesting. I waited until the roots dropped 6" and then I dropped them in the standard solution ratio. Never done the rockwool thing. I used rapid rooters when I first got started and the mold growth later in veg pissed me off. Now I germinate straight to hydroton or bag in the paper towel method. Either case, a new approach for me is to soak them in 1% hydrogen peroxide (1 tbsp 3% H2O2; 2 tbsp H2O) for 24 hours before sowing.

The one issue I've found with straight into hydroton in a netpot is that the netpot bulges with stem and root growth. So I only get one use per netpot, but I don't like to reuse to avoid pythium and other contams.

Here's a brief update.

One of the golden strawberries germinated today. Some of the other seeds are moldy, and the root on this one has some brownish color. Not sure what it is. I soaked in hydrogen peroxide 1% and then put it in hydroton. Let's gooooo!

The other plants are all showing some leaf spotting. I was misting them a few times during the photoperiod because the RH dropped with the seasonal changes... that's probably what caused it, so I stopped misting. The bagseed has the most leaf spotting and it looks overwatered and has slowed down. The other ones look pretty healthy, just a bit of spotting.
