Trays for drain to waste

I am looking for different options for trays in a drain to waste setup. Botanicare seems to be the main one that pops up, but finding online without $150+ freight shipping seems to be tough. I don't have a consistent place for one locally, although I will be checking a hydro shop a few towns over.

I'd like something that fits in a 4x4 tent. It doesn't have to be 48x48. Could be a little smaller if need be. I don't necessarily have to have the channeled bottom, but it would be nice to have at least some slope to concentrate the waste to one side or corner. I have no issue running pots on risers if it's a flat bottom with no channels. What is out there that fits the bill?

Yeah, that's what I am seeing and what I would prefer. What are some other brands other than Botanicare? Local (hour away) doesn't stock too many because of price and bulk. I'd love to be able to find something specific that I can ask them to order for me if it saves the freight.

Nope. South of the border in the US. Midwest.

I was able to find Active Aqua flood trays this morning as well. I'm probably gonna just need to talk to the grow shop and see what my options through them are. Wish I was near a legal state because marketplace has them for cheap if you can pick em up.

If I had a room, I would go the DIY route for sure. But the time and money in materials just makes the decision for me. Tray it is until I can scale up.

I just ordered 2 of these. In a 4x4 tent they should fit 4 to 6 plants in my current size. I'll make a stand to fit them so I can collect runoff beneath. Way cheaper than hydro trays and if they don't work out I always need boot trays. They are 46x16 inches.

I have a 2x2 tent and thinking to fold my own. I will hit a material supply shop fold the edges up one inch and weld. If you don't have a welder the piece you cut out so corners can meet fold in 90 degrees rivet it to join corners and rtv before final assembly. I have been using cooking trays to trim on and that might fill the bill. I have not run the system yet still plumbing and waiting for shipping. I picked up the vivosun controller and working on setting that up.

I am going to go with the 3x3 tray I believe which will come in pretty close to what those are cost wise, plus it will definitely hold my entire reservoir in case of a leak or failure. Those trays definitely look like they would be a great option though if the size works out.

Yeah, cost of material,time, and hassle ain't worth it to me. I have access to the stuff, but I'd rather just drop in a plastic tray that does the job.

These turned out to be incredibly sturdy and well made. I may adjust the size of the stand but the trays are perfect and a fraction of the cost of hydroponic branded trays20231006_121819.jpg

Make it with some sort of drain system even if its just into bucket, sucking water out of tray will get old fast especially if you are doing drain to waste and fertigating multi times a day.

Mine? I just said I installed drain fittings running to a floor drain. Gravity will do the work. And I am a master with a shopvac and yeah, it gets old.
