Setting up dtw coco 2.5x5 tent

Now that I set up the mini fans I think that will do. Just need a couple more. I just did not want 100$ to go to waste but looks like I just did. It will work for my bigger tent but not using it any time soon. I felt like this tent was huge but it isn’t. So I am realizing it as I post it. If you still think of something let me know but I dont think it is compatible with this tent. The air flow is much weaker now but maybe good enough.

One is open but about to open the second and possible third one, it is not hooked up yet. I am thinking of putting exaust on top of tent to utilize tall space.
Heat moves up take advantage of the cycle or you'll fight it. Looks like you have some tent material taped to cover part of a vent....why?

I have a bad habbit of making threads and realizing the answer right after. To put some of this in context I packed such a tight canopy last time it all molded and rotted and so Im obsessed with airflow since but I know too much will wind burn it.

I have two plants in flower right now and am seeing it does good just spread out well and maybe this will work. Also seeing everyone else do well. Sometimes I get surprised with answers I havent thought of though so I will see if any come but I think I made another bad thread. I simply oversized the fans to the tent.

To light proof it, air flows it pretty good and did good last time this way but thinking of making one or two more of those. It worked, standing inside tent was pitch dark.

What’s the best way to stop light getting in the bottom vents, but still have them open to have max airflow? I put a piece of cardboard…. Am I missing out on the big joke?

Movement of air in the tent (fans in the tent) are different from exchange of air in and out of the tent (vents and extraction fan) you want to exchange the air with some air circulation. Exchange your air and when things get tight just make sure every leaf dances. Don't blow plants over but just move the air around.

Yeah that is what I did but with mylar, works well but should have one or two more to have even air flow and more capacity to move air so tent doesnt squeeze easier than it should.

Yea, with the mini fans I hold out my hand to see it should blow into most of the canopy and allow a full even canopy, it is a no brainer. Some times I post threads and realize the answer right after.

How much pool shock per gallon do you use?

I used to do fine with 1ml per gallon h2o2 but it is still costly let alone if to use more for a large resizoir but I got pool shock I just wasnt able to find this out since. I tried searching everywhere even on RIU.

Flexin hard with my 40 gallon resivoir and drain tub. Just unroll the hose, pump waste and roll it back up and done. The closer a door or window the better. I have one close so ease of use should be awesome on this. Couple wave makers.

Currently testing it out, how many gallons must be present to stay submerged? How long will this resivoir last? Can it be propped up when I know it is getting low the day I refill it to get maximum use out the 40 gallon capacity? Testing to find out.

So once it hits 8 gallons marked on tub, wave makers turn off and can prop it up with a 2x4 to use the last 5 gallons until it will run out of water to pump which can feed 3 times guessing if to feed 5x per day in flower or close to that. I would then refill it with new solution.

If to need to rotate for shelf life reasons, I have a space cabinet that can use the rest of this so I dont even have to make solution for it unless it is due for cleaning.

That, or just top it off with 32 gallons fresh solution. Still need to confirm how many gallons it can hold total with lid on it, could be a few gallons less. Trade industry likes to change measurements on things.

One wave maker for waves to stir and one for aeration. Goal is to make it last a whole week as manufacture suggests discarding after a week. Maxi series.

So far seems to be a solid build that is rewarding me already. Short and wide resivoirs due to avoiding siphoning so the resivoir had to be that way as pots sit tall enough, don’t want to waste tall space just for a tall and narrow resivoir.

I cut out one more hole in the line to the halo to make an even stream. Runs better. Why diy? Idk I just had it up and running before realizing it costs the same and is the same size. First time installing from beginning, usually water flows better with diy halos with pot full of roots.

Maybe it is just me but it isnt saturating the whole pot like last time, maybe it will when roots fill up the top and create some resistance/channels and puddle up and work its way down the pot which is why I like my tall narrow pots.

Question, still wondering about how mich per gallon pool shock or I will just start with a little. Other question, can you use solution 3-4 days after the 7 day mark which they say to trash it? What if you were using it for a dtw coco space bucket grow that you didnt care so much about, will it work long as it doesnt smell rancid?

I think pool shock is waaaay stronger than h2o2 and want to dump the rest of solution into a bucket to dtw into a gallon of coco. I was thinking about it as dwc or what ever method that uses discarded solution and swap tank water when it is just too old.

It would be a dream to dump my main resivouir for flowering, the remaining 2.5 gallons into a space cabinet grow resivoir to last another week or close to it. It would be running itself. Have to do something with the remaining 2.5 gallons the main resivoir cannot empty out due to its size and height of pumps. Only other option is to just top it off or trash it.

I thought it was called rdwc or it was like hempy bucket or dtw but you recirculate the runoff? Whats it called… Isn’t it a thing? So I figured I might be able to do that. Maybe add more poolshock. When I said I don’t care about the space cabinet I mean as long as it wont affect growth or at least too bad.
