How many strains do you average per run?

In Canada unfortunately no - 4 plants of any size.

Which is about half of what we should have - 4 immature plants and 4 in flower.

So what are you doing to maximize your enjoyment? I want to make seeds and do crosses and pheno hunt but with 4 max im not sure what to do.

I usually flower 4-6 strains, 4 in a 4x4 and 2 in a 3x3.

10 strains are currently in veg, none are the same as whats in flower right now.
4 plants over my limit.

You can pay to have your seed sexed pre sprout. Run 4 males of different strains don't bother to veg them very long you only need a few pollen sacs off each. Then Run your 4 females and use a little pollen from each male on a separate branch of each female. So you can have 16 varieties of new seed twice a year or so

This grow I'm growing 4 purple strains to see if I get couch lock effects, topped 3 times for 8 colas per plant. I get 14"-16" colas, 32 for the grow. So even being cautious and estimating 12" per cola I'm growing the same as 1 plant 32' tall and bud top to bottom. A skinny plant for 32' but that's the idea for my grows. More of a vine.

I grow about 50% more than I need so I make tincture for family and friends and still have a bit of bud that I can give away to my nephews.

You're really limited for pheno hunts and seeds, where breeders are growing 50 plants or more to pick from. I'm hoping to do a pheno hunt after the next couple of grows (with 4 plants), I'm still looking for the strain with the effects I want.

I would not be stressed about a plant count on a male run.
1 your not producing any bud
2 not gonna smell like your growing flower
3 it will only take about 10weeks total
So I would collect as many males as possible and collect all your sacs in one run.
Then veg the hell out of your females with lots of croping\fiming so you have lots of separate branches each gets it own pollen sac then the only limit to crosses you can make is the size of your pollen collection

Three strains here, two plants per strain. Yes, the Canadian limit is 4 (boo) and I’ve got 6 outside. Do I anticipate the fuzz bangin’ down my door because of two extra plants? Nope.
