Ok I been using both Happy Frog and Sunshine 4.

Never had a problem with Happy Frog. Sunshine 4 is different matter. First off I have been mixing Rainbow Pro Mix Grow and Gypsum in it which I think I need to feed after I've planted.

Anyway Sunshine 4 has been a hit or miss. I have many Flowers and such that like it. Put 2 Girls in it after I sprouted them. One did real well the other one not so well. I repotted them both in Happy Frog and both of them doing well.

I like the feel of Sunshine 4 and it is cheaper. Which I want to work but I don't want to lose seeds.

The way I understand Sunshine 4 and Pro Mix are the same. How are you doing your grows?

My wife said use Happy Frog just for girls and Sunshine 4 for Flowers. I would just soon use Sunshine 4 for both.

Would be nice but I'm wanting to sell plants and I don't want to waste seed and time.

My Son said you had a problem with Bugs maybe you are over watering. No that was with Happy Frog. I told him the way I understand is with Sunshine 4 it is to always be moist and your not to be able to over or under water.

What are you doing with Pro Mix HP? I have a friend that uses it and never feeds and does fine.

I can't buy Pro Mix HP without ordering it.

Sunshine Mix #4 is one of the high drainage peat profession mixes on the market. Lambert, Berger and Promix all offer one as well and they all perform about the same.
All these mixes if used unamended need to be used with regular fertigation. These mixes are very well draining and hard to overwater, but why waste water and nutrients if it is not needed? I find growing in these mixes super easy. You have a mixed nutrient reservoir and just water the containers when they are very light, but still moist. That's it in a nutshell.

I have hundreds of gallons of mix going this year for everything. Peppers, Cukes, Tomatoes, Kale, Herbs, Beans, Peas, Zucchini and Cannabis all grow well in one mix with one nutrient schedule. I'm using 3 part Masterblend now at around 1.5cents per gallon with about 500 gallons in total reservoir space.

Depending on the size of your operation you can buy large bagged commercial nutrients or pricy ganga boutique nutrient bottles. It all grows the same, just up to the user what they can afford and source.

I think where I messed up my Son said to put them in 5 gallon pots from the get go. I'm thinking I watered but didn't water a lot and the water left the plant.

Thinking go ahead and water. I've been using General Hydroponics just go with it above every week.

Like I say my Flowers do great in Sunshine 4.
