Will a sf2000 pro 3x3 200w led have enough coverage for a 3x3 grow tent?

Hello! I’m new to growing indoors and havnt purchased anything yet. I’m wanting to make sure I buy the right light for the right grow area. I’m debating if I should go with the same model but a 2x4 light in a 2x4 tent instead of the 3x3 or if I should go with another brand entirely. I plan on growing 3 plants and I’m on budget. Thank you

I would say it's pretty marginal. You really want 30W/ft² or a bit more for LED.

What did you end up with? I'm in the same boat.. reading and making notes about what I need.

Initially had my eyes on a mars hydro kit 2x4.. but I'm gravitating to the 3x3 spider farmer with the SE3000, seems to have a bit more juice... Also on a budget..

I'm running the G3000 in a 3x3 and wouldn't go with anything less. I can definitely tell the difference around the outer 4-6" I try to push the outer buds more into the center of the tent. That said, im super happy with the light.

Beautifull. I see, interesting. So you basically full up the space with 1 plant, I was wondering about this, if it's too camped for 2 pots.. as I was thinking about 2 big pots around 7 - 10 gallons... Just to have a back-up in case I loose 1

You can do 3 in a 3x3 with no problem. There's a journal this plant is in called clones out of control. This thing was out of control big time so it had to be a single plant in the tent. But with a shorter veg time, you can easily do 3 plants.

10gal x 2 is a bit excessive for a 3x3 or 2x4.

Also what the best light or deal for you would depend on where you are in the world.

I'm from the Netherlands. Ok, yes, I'm still reading and learning. Was under the assumption bigger pot -> more roots -> larger plant. But if e.g. 7 gallon is big enough, that is good to know (for my back).

Oh you are right with regard to bigger pot ect but there's a point of diminishing return.

Two 7gal is plenty for your requirements.

It might be worth looking at migro LEDs been you are in Europe. He has some good designs at very fair prices . Specifically he does a nice light for 2x4 spaces which tbh not many really design Specifically for.

Anyway, check them and look at shipping too, see how cost effective they would be

With soil, "bigger pot = bigger plant = bigger yields" is a valid assumption, but it breaks down when growing hydroponically.

I've used 3, then 2, now 1 gallon fabric pots using coco. Other than the difference in fertigation frequency, I've noticed no difference in the plants rate of growth or ultimate yields

I checked his comparison video yes, was considering a 2x4, but was moving on as I couldn't find a light with proper spread indeed. €295 for the migrow is an ok price, but I was actually planning on a growtent 'kit' to save costs e.g. wait for black friday, would be less pricy to buy the bundle than needing to buy stuff separate.. wouldn't it? I mean you might find a kit of value but generally speaking they bundle a load of shite together, some of which is not needed and some of which is not fit for the space.

None of these sellers know your climate, so they dint know if that fan and filter is up to the task .. often you see kits with tents twice the size of the lights capabilities ect.

So if you do buy a kit get second and third opinions on if its good value
