Fem seeds F2 which plant?

Hi folks, happy to be here after a 30 yr hiatus ( from growing ) . Anyway, my brother and i used to grow a lot back in the 80s and early 90s , now that my GF and I are fully retired we are 'experimenting' again with the grows.

Anyway, I have feminized plenty of seeds in the past for a few people ( ALL or MOST of the plants were pretty much equal in size and such ). This time around, however, we had a bad 'bug' of sorts slugs and aphids. While we were gone for10 days. Anyway, 2 females survived with one being more vigorous. WHICH plant would I start spraying? In other words do I want pollen from the most vigorous larger female ? or do I want to implant pollen/seeds ON TO the most vigorous plant? Always wondered. I don't care if I have 50 seeds or 10 really. I decided to just feminize one rather than grow them out and harvest.

If you're crossing two females, I don't see how it would matter which one does the pollen donating since the genetic makeup of the cross will be the same either way.

I'd probably go with whichever one you think will make pollen easier.

You could also reverse a clone, or just a single branch then pollinate both plants. Maybe you'll see a difference and know better for next time? Might wanna s1 the vigorous plant?

I thought about both of those. I would not want to do this a lot with the S1s, just this time to 'save' what I have. What is your experience with S1s and hermies?

I've only had a chance to grow out small handfuls of my s1s, but so far no hermies. I did have one plant that had maybe 5 seeds in a light burned bud, but that's all. I have only seen one herm that was genetic so far, and that was a random freebie I grew out.

Depends on the genetics you start with and how stable they are cos when you s1 something you bring out the reccesives and they become dominant traits found in your s1s when you grow em out for a good example look at og kush for example the cuts dont herm so easy but the s1s of them do a bit more due to that recessive gene becoming a more dominant one obviously environmental issues and stress will be a influence as well they can trigger it in the plants if its in the genes to begin with
