What is dropping out of my solution?

What is this dropping out of the solution? Too much of something? I mixed the nutes into the water in the order they were listed. I am running blumats so I don't think i want to aerate the water with an airstone. Should I add a waterpump to keep it stirred? In the future, I intend on adding bleach in order to sterilize the res. Will that help or make a difference in the fallout?

5 gallons RO water
8mL ArmorSi
18mL CalMag
9.6g MaxiGrow
2mL pH down

The picture is crummy, but it's hard to get a good pic in the res

Do you run the inline filter on your main line? I've found that maxi line does get crud in the tank. Since I switched to floraflex I've never had that issue.

You'll also find out running a high concentration of nutrient through the carrots causes salt buildup and they end up clogging. Usually right at the pinch point where the screw is.

I do not run any filter. I also do not run any drippers. Just the small line out of the carrot. I will definitely keep an eye on the carrots and watch for any clogs. Is the floraflex line a powder as well? Ill check it out once I run through the bags of Maxi.

Now that you mention it, I do believe it was a bit cloudy when I added pH down to the res the other day. I usually used pH up until I added the ArmorSi so I haven't paid too much attention. I'll keep a closer eye on it in the future.
After a while I started PH adjusting before I added nutrients. I heard the cloud is a chemical reaction that causes some nutrients to fall out like magnesium. I'm not sure how true that is.. but ever since about a year ago I've been adjusting prior to adding the feed, or anything else.

Hmmm, interesting. Do you run RO water?

Try mixing the cal-mag first.

Why would you use pH Up with RO water? RO or distilled water has a neutral pH so you should only use pH Up or Down after mixing all your nutes and allowing 15 min or so for the pH to stabilize before making any adjustments.

Any silica product will bump the pH up. I'm not sure how much Armor raises it but when I used AN's Rhino Skin in RO it would go up to around 8.4 but as it is made to work with the rest of the pH Perfect line I'd just add the 3-part nutes without worrying about the pH. When using no-name potassium silicate the pH would go up to 10+ and needed some pH down to get it to a decent level before adding nutes then checking and adjusting again.

Way too much like work so I switched to the pH Perfect stuff and never checked pH again in DWC or feeding soilless ProMix HP. My last 20 or so DWC grows were done without changing nutes even once from clone to crop which suited my lazy old fart vibe just right. :)

cloud/fall out I had to fight with a few times. It seems that the thick armor si doesn't evenly dissolve quickly in the tank, and if I added the calmag too quickly after I would get the cloud. Else adding full strength PH adjusters vs diluting them with RO slightly. My system at the moment is to use graduated cyclinders for measuring, so i just top them all off with RO before adding to dilute. Once I switched to diluting everything and mixing thoroughly I stopped having cloud issues.

I adjust pH at the end of mixing.

I was told that ArmorSi should be mixed 1st. Next time, I'll try calmag and then ArmorSi.
armor SI first is what I read/was told as well. followed by calmag and base nute mix.

Why would you use pH Up with RO water?
I normally used pH up with ro water because I wasn't using ArmorSi before. Therefore when I mixed in the maxigrow or bloom, they would take the pH down into the low 4's or high 3's. So I had to use pH up to get it back to the right range. Once I added ArmorSi to the mix, then it started coming out pretty close to where it needed to be, but after a day or two, it would drift up and then I would use the pH down.
