New to growing.. please help! Original cheese fastbuds autoflower

Hi all!

I recently decided to grow a few plants, I am a complete noob and took information from here and there on the internet. Surprisingly I managed to get them growing and all was well until I noticed that my plants seem very short and the nodes very close together.. the seeds are original cheese autoflower from fastbuds , they are 26days old since they sprouted. They are on a 18/6 cycle and using a 1000w LED grow light from amazon.. any suggestions or help would be greatly appreciated..

They look pretty good but my experience was that blurple lighting did produce shorter plants
One of the many reasons I no longer use anything but white light LED’s

What is the temp and humidity like. With that light you might not have enough heat in the tent to encourage faster growth.
Lift the light up a few inches and they might stretch abit.

Temp is about 23•c and humidity is between 50-60. I would higher the light but I used a light meter and apparently at the height they are now they are receiving about 330 PPFD so I don’t really want to higher it much more

I don’t think the pot size is the issue.

put your temperature probe right underneath a leaf for the most accurate temp.
Tell us the brand name of the light

what is the medium, coco / peat

And fyi - That light is probably 100ish watts. There is no way that thing is 1000 watts.

I think you’re right mate, they are about to 10 inches from the canopy and only just getting enough light. I guess you get what you pay for when it comes to Chinese lights

Most lights are using chinese diodes.

There are cheap lights available that use white diodes. Spider Farmer and Mars are two that come to mind.

I'll just throw it out there to anybody else who wants to list some cheap light options. Pike, we have to know the dimensions of the space you're growing in.

I have to agree with @Johnny Lawrence. I had a "900 watt" and a third of it went out. I opened it up only to find three 50 watt circuits.

It you get 1000 watts of good LED it's going to cost quite a bit. Paying a lot of money doesn't guarantee a good light, but you are not likely to get a good one if you don't.

Once the plants get bigger switch to 24/0 to get your DLI higher with that weak light, unless you buy a new light.

I made a tough decision today and decided to take one of my plants away and repot my other two in 5 gallon fabric bags and added perlite 1/3 ratio with the same multipurpose compost I originally planted with. My grow space is 3ftx2ft so I thought three would be to many as my light footprint is to small to retain the correct PPFD for the three. I don’t know what’s going to happen now. Will they be in shock?? Do I need to buy a second light and bring the other plant back? . Here are some photos, bare in mind that the leaves are droopy because I sprayed them with water.

They look like they were ready to be transplanted. They should do good. It kind of depends a lot on how disturbed the roots got.

I just put my fingers between the base of the plant and tipped the pot upside down then put it straight into my new pots that was half filled with the new mix then filled round the sides of the original compost. I don’t know if that’s how you do it but that’s what I did

I think you probably did good. It's not that hard,

They way I do it is start in a Solo cup and when it's time to transplant I "plant" the it cup and all just to get a perfect hole. Then I carefully take the plant out oft the cup and put it in the hole. If the soil doesn't come apart it will fit the exactly right. Then just water it in.

That’s a great way to do it, I will definitely apply that to my next grow

Cheese might just be a short plant. I had skunks that were very short and they say cheese is a skunk.
