Is that all I need to do or should I start with some topping ?Just keep tucking under the first net. A second net is only needed for support if they stretch too far after the switch.
Why not both, when ur filling a 4x4 canopy with one plant topping is a must when it comes to getting branches in all 4 cornersLook into supercropping. Soooo much faster and easier than topping, with better results.
I seriously have not topped a plant on purpose since i learned to super crop. You absolutely can fill your space just with supercropping, and you can do it faster than topping, with less stress to the plant. Why not both, when ur filling a 4x4 canopy with one plant topping is a must when it comes to getting branches in all 4 corners
Ok I’m gonna try this, so when I’d usually break apical dominance by removing the shoot I wud just bend it over. I like to top mine for 4 main branches, so in the case of super cropping I would still have five but the central one would be bent over and I’d just use this to help fill in the centre of the square while the other 4 are sent for the corners? You typically want the plant to get a little taller before supercropping. I'd say at least 12" tall.Ok I’m gonna try this, so when I’d usually break apical dominance by removing the shoot I wud just bend it over. I'm excited, typically I run multiple small plants in drain to waste , had some extra room so threw this setup together. Will give me quite a different experience.
Exactly what I'm looking forSuper cropping is awesome if you ask me. I think the overall bounce back time is shorter than with topping. I’ve done 3 harvests in the 4x4 with a single plant. Never topped. I did a journal on one of them.
Cultiuana CT-660w & a 1 plant scrog
This run I was graced with an LED fixture from Cultiuana.com to give a test run. This is the CT-660 model. It’s a pretty nice fit in a 4x4 tent. Additional info on the light, and their other models can be found at www.Cultiuana.com Other items being used: Tent: Mars Hydro 4x4 Inline fan &...www.rollitup.org
Here’s pics from the other 2.
First one is a clone from the plant in the above thread.. only in double the amount of soil. (10gal)

This one was also in a 5gal pot, plus she isn’t much of a stretcher.
You can see the lack of experience in this one. It’s getting ironed out though. Practice makes perfect. I still have a mother of this strain, so I’ll be giving it another go round. View attachment 5305956View attachment 5305957
I'd like to do this but I'm having trouble visualizing how I can do it in such a way that it'll provide an even canopy without any defoliation. Any tips?I seriously have not topped a plant on purpose since i learned to super crop. All branches that grow taller will be bent to maintain canopy. Just bend them in the direction you want themI'd like to do this but I'm having trouble visualizing how I can do it in such a way that it'll provide an even canopy without any defoliation. Any tips?
