Same.try to get too 800 max .. 650-800 kinda safe ..Curious as to what PPFD others are flowering at ? I usually stay around 750 or 760 through flower. I find that if I get over 850 I start to have problems.
Right? those lights were a lot more powerful than I realized back then. Once winter rolls around they are nice vs adding a heater but still....Got one of them Photone apps recently. Realised the tops directly under my 600w hps were frying at like 1800 ppfd! No wonder they were always foxtailing and just getting huge and ugly lol. Now I just try and control the canopy so that directly below the lights I have the plants tied down much more than the rest creating a more light even canopy.
Still have em frying at around 1200 in the middle and around 600 ~ 900 around the sides
And yes, I've seen problems above 800 but usually late into flower. My feeling is they've exhausted the pots nutrients and can no longer sustain the energy output at the light (above 800 PPFD) intensity. I'll usually max out at 1000 ppfd (not on purpose) at the highest point but aim for 900-950. I've seen lower buds growing as fat as the upper buds at just 750 ppfd. But those lower buds were directly under an Exhale bag so who knows if that played into it. I'd love to try 800 ppfd but don't have that skill set to grow an even canopy yet.Curious as to what PPFD others are flowering at ? I usually stay around 750 or 760 through flower. Yeah didn’t realise how much light they put out albeit from a relatively small area so light is not well spread. Was gonna get some leds but decided to hold off for the winterRight? those lights were a lot more powerful than I realized back then.
