Hi guys,

Snice i just had a full on male i want to double check a few things and see what other growers do different compared to me.
Just out of curiosity i was wondering if someone could tell me what nutes to use i have always used Canna a n b but i was wondering if there is any other brands out there as good or better than canna? I use anb, advance nutes - big bud and overdrive. I usually do ph'ed water (5. 8 for 3 weeks and then start nutes growing in coco plus any suggestions?

Thanks Guys! Have a great day!!

Unfortunately brother that’s not a simple answer, a lot of great nutrients out there and what works for me might not work for you.
kinda just gotta play around and see, someone else might be in the Midwest with super low humidity and (this) works for him, someone the north east in a basement uses (this) and it works for her.

unfortunately it’s not cut and dry.

Fertilizer brand really doesn’t matter, I use gh maxigro in veg, 1tsp/gal water works fine, then bloom in flower sand rate, I’ve also used fox farm trio, and masterblend as far as salts go and really no difference in quality of final product, had a few mediocre organic runs though, a few good ones too.

Thanks for your reply bro much appreciated!

I get what your saying, i had a thought.... one of my ladies was put in new coco soil but i had some left over from 2 years ago, i didn't realise that this might have been the problem one of my fem seeds as she was such a slow grower and then turns to be a male while the other one is full on thriving and loving the feed/vent/and environment she is in.

any one else have a input re the coco soil new/old, wouldn't all the goodness be gone?

GH Maxibloom start to finish is what I use in coco. Comes in powder form so you aren't buying and shipping water. Works for veg and bloom. Easy, inexpensive. Good results.

You can reuse coco. I break it apart. Throw out the root balls. Rake out the smaller roots with a hand rake. And then rinse/buffer as a final step before reuse.

Once you understand the chemistry you can grow with any well balanced fertilizer. It's all up to you what you are willing to spend per gallon making nutrient solutions. Three part dry salts like Jacks, Masterblend, GrowMore Southern AG used with Cal-Nit and epsom will be the cheapest, coming in at 2-3 cents per gallon if you buy larger commercial bags. Some companies like Jacks and Envy offer smaller bags for less up front cost.

Some of the watered down boutique ganga nutes can run 10-20 times the price per gallon as the dry salts.
