I wasn't going to post a grow, but I always complain to myself about how little information there is about different seeds. So I decided I would post along as I get goes.

One previous grow in 2009. I have my set up left over from that so that is what I'm using:
Adjust-a-wing reflector - medium
Philips 400 watt CMH bulb
smart pot fabric grow pots - 7 gallon (I think)

Seeds:
(1) Front left Jack Herer by Seedsman Seeds
(2) Front right - Purple Haze by G13 Labs
(3) Rear left- Amnesia Lemon Pie by Green Garden of Seeds
(4) Rear right - Girl Scout Cookies by Garden of Green Seeds

Soil mix is roughly:
1/3 top soil from a local landscaping center
1/3 compost from the local composting site (primarily leaves/grass compost)
1/3 Promix potting soil

Seeds were popped using the paper towel in a baggy method and then planted directly to their current pot.

Plant (1) came up on 5-27 (I think)
Plant (2) came up on 5-28
Plant (4) was another 5-30 days later
Plant (3) was on June 3/4, not sure, I'm not sure if I put the seed too deep or what, but I'm a little disappointed at this ones progress so far.

Current pictures below days are estimate time from when the seed broke soil
Plant (1) - day 14
Plant (2) - day 13
Plant (3) - day 6/7
Plant (4) - day 11

Topped 3 out of 4 toady. 17/18 days since breaking soil for the three that were topped. The lagging one is only on day 10 out of the soil but even so is still piddling around. She might get sacrificed. not sure yet, we'll see, I was looking forward to try that plant the most.

I assume it is a long shot to root a cutting in water, but giving it ago anyway.

Bulb is those old 400 watt Philips CMH, they run on a magnetic balast, same as a MH or HPS.

This is only my second grow, first one was in 2009. I'm trying to apply what I learned from that one and what I've read. My first grow the plants hit the ceiling in my 8 ft tent and I hadn't put in any way to train them such as a net, that strain was a primarily a sativa, so that maybe won't happen this time anyway. I really just winging it though.

Bra i recently purchased myself a 315watt cmh setup it was super cheap so i would recommend upgrading your setup!
I got a 315watt cmh ballast for 19.99 brand new no lie
I got a wing reflector for 14.99 looks very nice!
13.99 i got a adapter that turns my wing reflector into a cmh socket!!
All im missing is a phillips cmh bulb but i got my 315watt cmh setup for around 50 bucks! I bet the new 3100k phillips 315w cmh bulbs blow your old 400watter out of the water man!

Day 28 from the first one breaking soil, minus a day or two for the others.

Been doing some low key LST to try to get everything even-ish. Going to just let them grow up now. Will do another 2-4 weeks of veg, got plenty of space at the moment.

Flipped to 12/12 on July 11, so day 16 of 12/12 today. 46/47 days of veg. Trimmed all the lower sucker/popcorn branches off. Left the fan leaves, I've been pulling them as the plants decide they don't want them. Had been tucking them under the net until yesterday. Going to let them do their thing now. Net isn't quite as full as I'd like it, but only my 2nd grow, and 1st with a net, so going to apply some lessons going forward.

I've grown a bunch of Garden of Green seeds in the past few years. Their GSC seems pretty stable and reliable; dense buds, very frosty and tasty, but not the greatest yield. I fucking LOVE their Amnesia Lemon Pie, though. The ALP plants always seemed a bit more variable, but most of the phenos I'd ended up with turned out really nice. Actually looking forward to growing some more ALP this winter.

I grew a lot with those old CMH Retrofit. Long ago. Makes as sticky buds as anything.
I hope so! My first grow went OK but it was so long ago it probably doesn't even count anymore. I'll probably have to switch to the 315 cmh eventually as I can't find any more of the philips 400 cmhs

Good to know about the ALP, that was my pick that I wanted to try the most, I bought the ALP and the purple haze, the other two were freebies.

Alright it has been a minute. Busy summer. Rebuilt the entire front end of my '04 chevy 2500hd from the steering box down.

Flipped the lights to 12/12 on July 11. I lost my bulb along the way, stuck a 400 watt HPS in there for a week. Bought a dual 315 CMH light fixture as a quick hang stop gap. Not super happy with it from a heat standpoint because I can't do a remote ballast with it. It has also been super hot here so I was fighting a hot grow room. 87/88 was common for a week or two. Things have cooled off and I'm back down again to 82/83. I bought more gear and I'm going to modify my adjust a wing to carry 2 315s so I can run outside ballasts. I bought the outside ballasts from growers house as secretmicrow grow said to. I'll rig it all up when this grow is done. Also need to add another passive air intake.

Chopped the Jack Herer yesterday, 57 days from flip. I had been debating on and off to chop it. It was probably close, could still have gone another week. Chopped it because I saw two hermaphrodite bananas. I'm surprised it didn't hermaphrodite sooner. Its been under stress from sitting directly in front of the fan. I need to figure out a different fan solution as the one I currently have is too much for the closest plant. You can see all the wind burn in the pictures. I currently have it hanging in my laundry room because its the only place I have. Its about 70 degrees and 50% humidity, I'll watch it to try to get the jar timing right. I wet trimmed one an left the rest to see if I can tell a difference in the smoke after the cure.

The other three have at least another 2-3 weeks I'd guess.

Alrighty, grow has been wrapped up for a bit. Been smoking mad joints again. Chopped on Sept 24. Got it all jarred at a minimum of 57/58% humidity, some sitting at 63/64%. It all rolls awesome. The Amnesia Lemon Haze was definitely the star of the show. Probably grow another one of those again sometime.

Jack Herer - 71 grams
Girls scout cookies - 147 grams
Purple Haze - 163 grams
Amnesia Lemon Haze - 152 grams
Total = 533 grams, just shy of 19 ounces

Heat and light issues aside I'm happy with the turn out. Second grow, first in this room. I have just started a new grow. Added a different intake. Added an AC Infinity controller. Running two 6 inch AC infinity fans now, one exhaust and one intake. Added a AC infinity humidifier. Modified the adjust-a-wing to carry two 315 CMHs, put the ballasts outside the room. Been humming along at 78* and 60% humidity.

Had a feeling you'd like it. I put a few plants outside for the first time this summer, one of them was a mystery seed. Thing reeked of skunk so badly that if the wind was blowing the right direction my neighbor could smell it clearly at his gate, about 250 feet away. After it finished and I got to smoke some, it turned out to be ALP. Probably the best version of it I've grown yet. Unusually heavy Amnesia leaner, but still a sharp lemon aspect to go with the heavily floral nose. Got 200 grams from her.
