A kid in middle school lost 2 of his in the heavy swinging door of the boys bathroom screwing around. My teacher was a Vietnam veteran and picked them up and put them in a Ziploc with some ice. They were able to reattach the fingers as they got to the hospital quick enough. The teacher was a boss!! I had 3 broken in a rugby game when they got stomped on. One had the bone sticking out of the skin and was really nasty looking. No time outs in rugby so I finished the half and drove myself to the hospital later on. Still can't bend that pinky right after 30 some years.

In middle school, a kid jumped a chain link fence on the P.E. Field, he fell off the top and landed on a sprinkler head that pierced his scrotum. Half the school got to watch the paramedics cut the sprinkler head off while it was still pierced through his nutsack.

Jeff K, I’m lookin at you, man. Luckily you only really need one testicle, right?

Would love to see the handle :hump: I'm torn makers mark or the house that it was made for hmmm yuppers time to hit my search engines up (AKA my son's) my oldest son works for a Auction House Rock Island auction house and they deal with a lot of antique weapons give me a little bit of time and I'll see what he can come up with no promises I do things old school so it takes me time lol

Lol it’s a spoon, every single piece of flatware is monogrammed like it…I have a few pounds…supposedly it’s silver. I was gonna sell it for scrap maybe

I've got a couple 9th century Japanese swords that would blow your brain if you like blades. Next time I'm in my gun safe I'll grab a few pics. My grandfather picked them up in Kyoto, Japan after the war and I inherited them when he passed. The handles are broken on one and missing on the other but the blades are razor sharp 1200 years later.

Any hallmarks or imprints other than the monogram on the silver? Usually solid not plated is often marked. Does it bend easy or is any of it flaking? You could cut into a section.

the makers mark/name will be on the exposed part of the handel if there worth anything

if you care to or there is need to, theres a small round pin in the handel of the blades. poke it through, give it a tap to seperate the handel and slip the handel off the blade. then there should be a makers mark/name visable on one side

The maker of the more historically important one is Nagamitsu. His is from the 13th century. I had it researched when I first got them. I forget the other one but they said it was 'Nihonto" meaning it is a real sword from the Japanese sword smiths of that earlier period. The mark on that one was from a famous guy but they said it was a frequently forged mark back then due to his fame and they'd have to send it to CA or Japan to really have it evaluated. I had to get an idea of what they were and their worth for insurance. I just wish they had been better cared for over the years. Restoration and sharpening is only done by 2 American's that studied in Japan or it has to be taken there at a crazy expense.

I will for sure , I'm still up from last night and trying to get ready to grab some sleep hopefully. Back's acting up bad and it was a crappy night. They're in my gun safe and I just don't want to go digging into the back to get grab them. I'll post some this afternoon once I grab some Z's. They're very impressive weapons and I'd have hated to come up against a trained warrior using one.
