LST Before Sexing?

Hey gang. Saucy thread title aside, legit question follows;

From experience, is there any disadvantage to starting in with LST before sex is visible? Have one grow that is reg seed and one fem, so curious if I'm doing anything a disservice by strapping it down before I know. Effort aside, I'm doing it for the fems anyway, so thats no big deal :D

LST stress is good to show males sooner...then when the ends are further from the lighting shooting back up helps them show...also 25% careful young lollypopped stems helps.

Appreciate the post! Figured there shouldn't be any harm. Want to start early with the LST and get that canopy flat ;)

Its cool experimenting many methods of taming growth......With close intense veg lighting more branches come out along the main stem that doesnt stretch too much allowing more branches from the main middle ,no need for LST with 22 branches instead l finished this year already , but another way is deadheading , some lolypopping , then LST .... LST these after deadheading, and lollied , transplanted ,then LST.

Nothing wrong with a little foreplay for the plants.
In the long run.. it's just wasted efforts if you get a male you have no use for. Well worth it if it's a female imo.

As a side note, how do you like the clips? I’m going to be using medium gauge, soft rubberized garden ties through grommets on my 10Gallon grow bags. I’ve always been curious about the clips though. Really beautiful work there
I absolutely love the clips.. Easy to apply and remove when the plant is young and pliable,, Holds it where you want it without all the tie downs blocking access to the soil.. And they're cheap! This is the second plant since I got em.. Still learning..

Your shaping technique looks legit great! I'm not gonna go crazy and manifold etc since I'm outdoor and shortened season etc, but did have a question; Do you begin your training after topping (if you top at all) or do you go right in and bend the main stalk over early?

I'm going to run two Autos (Lambs Bread & Apricot Kush) and one Photo (NL), so only planning on topping the Photo.

I am looking to step up my LST game this season so pointers welcome :D
