not really just wanted to grow a plant in this thing, i thought it would be different...i know i can make a cheap setup trust me DIY setups are flooded on this site....it wouldnt be hard to come up with a nice design...i just thought more people would share in my laugh of growing in this thing....alot views and only one comment...come on people...OH YEA i tried to change the title but i couldnt figure it out...lol, iam gonna eventually turn it into a aeroponics...i think that will work good, but this tub is kinda tall....

If it were me, and because i like the idea of this so much it just might be. I would install maybe 4 fans in the sides. 2 blowing in 2 blowing out. Then wrap the inside with Mylar then take off the Plexiglas top. Use it as a template to cut a lid out of plywood, and then wire a bunch of those plastic light socket plates to it. If the ventilation was right that thing would work like a charm.

The problem is you're trying to be different just to be different. If you want to grow weed there are plenty of proven systems that can be built for cheap. IMO, you're trying to reinvent the wheel just for kicks and most people aren't into that is why you aren't getting comments would be my guess.
Not saying there is anything wrong with being different, sometimes trying too hard turns people off though. Good luck.

do you have the measurements on that thing by any chance?. . i dont know what type of material that thing is made of. . but it will deffinatly need some vents cut out.. and maybe mylar on the walls to get rid of the black. . other than that.. i dont see why you wouldnt be able to veg some plants in there. .

see i knew you guys had inventive minds...thanks so much...i was wondering if the black would be a problem, but anyway i have to scrap the plans for this tub, my girlfriend wants to use it for sodas and drinks, when our familys gets here for christmas...thanks to everyone for responding though...Staff you can close this thread now...thanks
