I was wondering which feed chart i should be using on fastbuds site. I am pretty sure it is the inert soil but i also see people saying to treat it like hydro so not really sure. Also i am using the autopot if that makes any difference.
We need a lot more info if you're asking for help. Did you follow the instructions for coco coir or soil?
The pitfall when using Auto Pots seems to be that the hoses get clogged easily. The newer versions have larger hoses and fittings. If you put anything sticky or gritty in the reservoir you may be creating problems. I'm on my first run with Xl autopots and I'm using a very nutrient dense soil that I lightened up with plenty of perlite. If it turns out the plants need food down the road, I'll shut off the water flow and top dress and water in for a few days. I'll know when the time comes.
When using soil, Autopots are not at all like hydroponics. The plants are watered from below but that's it. I don't think it is a good idea to combine both practices. The coco coir method is most likely closer to hydroponic. There are no coconut trees where I live so I chose soil. Plus, I suck at measuring and sticking to a feeding schedule. I basically bought the Autopots so I would be able to go away for a few days at a time and not having to worry about someone else watering my plants.
Let's see some pics. Please fill us in with a few more details too. Good luck.
Also a mulch layer (rice hulls is what I use) is very important to keep the top layer of soil moist.
