Gosh, the 15 minutes before your short ribs are done, while the smell is clinging to every surface in the house is the worst. I am so effing hongry, but if it don't melt in your mouth, it ain't worth it.

I tried mustard, pepper, gochujang and dill pickle brine this time.

I just made it up on the fly. I soaked them in pickle brine overnight, emptied it, then in the same brine bag I added a thick slurry with gochujang paste, black pepper, smashed garlic, chunky mustard***, tiny spoon of miso, lemon juice, unflavored greek yogurt, little salt, and then slathered the ribs in that and let it sit for another 8 hours. I patted it off and did a low and slow.
It is out of the oven and I am waiting for it to chill. I am gonna eat way too much red meat, lol

Sounds good...I was thinking of take out Italian, but settled on some leftover ham and broccoli...Not having to go anywhere was the winner!

I do think its time to warm up the press though!!

Perfect idea...I have one little chore to do while she's warming up!!

:lol: well I made dabs, did 2 and was whacked.... Whew, it's been a minute since I made /did any. Amazing how fast you lose tolerance.

First thing I did was turn on the oven and made a batch of granola. Now if I can stay awake long enough for it to set up in the refridge, lol..., good stuff! Dabs and granola :eyesmoke:

I was just reading about drug sniffing dogs on cruise ships. NOOOOO, it can't be! False alarm, a different company...Carnival.

Royal Caribbean had us put our bags out the night before departure at the return port so that customs dogs could sniff them. This was to the Bahamas and their private island. There was plenty of weed to buy in Nassau. I barely made it off the ship before I was getting hit up to buy some "happy smoke". I left at least a half there as I had been warned about the K9 on return. This was also like 25 years ago when attitudes were a lot different in the states about weed.

After taking vape carts to new orleans recently, I’ve been emboldened by the idea of taking vape carts on a cruise now. Seems simple enough, just don’t bring anything home through customs
