I finally verified we do NOT need passports for MSC to Bahamas.....Whew. They strongly recommend you have one though, as if anything happens and you need to fly back, you can't fly without a passport. I have mine and Kevin is trying to get an appt. in person to update his. BIG whew!!
Just try not to do anything illegal and get kicked off the boat o_O
Or would you just abandon him and fly home?

Guess what? Yup, rain. Supposed to be just today and showers tomorrow.
Have my teeth cleaning tomorrow and they are going to tweak my denture a bit so it doesn't hurt in a couple spots. I think I'll have them x-ray where the most difficult tooth came out of to make sure the Dr. didn't leave any root in there, fixing that would suck. It made some nasty crunching sounds when she pulled it.
Mornin.

Yep. I was an 8 year old Minnesota/Iowa kid who took one vacation to Florida in the middle of December and decided then and there I was sick of shoveling snow for my dad and when I was on my own I was not going to live somewhere I had to do it for myself either. After college, I was apparently still very committed to that thought.

After 20 years, I'm rather done with this place, been planning our escape for about 5 years. So far we've got a firm 'eh it might be better' on Vegas as possibility. We're about 18months away from trying to be somewhere else and haven't really made any firm plans yet. We've eliminated a lot of places we don't want to live, but haven't found anywhere we really do. :-/

Also, really really really really hate humidity. Both for my back and the plants, I've killed 3 dehumidifiers.
I can highly recommend the Mojave Desert, which you will experience if you move to Las Vegas along with my husband's ex :eyesmoke: who is someone I like LOL

Brilliantly sunny here today, again. Good luck with that, I hope it works out for you.

We used to go to Ft Irwin, CA for glorified war games several times a year. It's in Death Valley and nothing but sand. They had a species of rattlesnake called the Mohave green rattlesnake that were no joke and more coyotes than people it seemed. Sunsets were amazing but the 122° temps were less so. I'm glad I got to see it as I'm from the East coast and had never seen the desert before but there's no way I could live in that kind of heat.

Been there when I was working F-22 flight test. We'd go out to Goldstone and set our equipment up on top of a mountain. There was some really cool sedimentary rock there with multiple colors I picked up. I have a couple in my fish tank. The size of the parabolic antenna is amazing, they use them for deep space coms.
