CFL's are fine. Light intensity is pretty weak. It never gets hot soo you can keep the bulb very close to the tops. Their are different types of cfls you should use during vegetative and flowering.

foil tends to burn the leaves on plants,, you should try to get mylar,, its extremely reflective and wont hurt your plants.....:peace:.....

I've heard this many times yet no one has ever posted a picture of foil "burn". I put foil reflectors under seedlings in full summer sun outdoors with no ill effects. To suggest cfls will "burn" is a gross exaggeration.

You do have some stretching occuring. Drop your light source closer and bury the stem deeper in soil when you decide to transplant.

I hear ya,, thats what the so called experts told me when I started growing,, although my first grow was cfl(I heard not to do) and I used aluminum foil and didnt have any problems, actually those plants turned out damm nice,,, I just really,,,really like mylar,,cause like the saying goes,,,,ONCE YOU GO MYLAR YOU CANT GO BACK.... GOOD LUCK...;-)

wow 19w lol man that is MINIMAL lighting i would use atleast a 200w cfl..... u can get 250w cfl's now maybe even 300w...

no arguing that from me, though it's a bitch to place little pieces on the tops of pots, they start to curl up later.
Mylar is a more reflective than aluminum foil.

You could easily go a couple of more weeks in the cups unless your plant keeps stretching then you should trans. and bury it up to the first set of leaves....:peace:.....
