Improved treatment including cheap supportive medications greatly reduced the demand for ventilators and once they need a ventilator the prognoses was not good, the idea was to keep them off one with improved treatment protocols and antiviral medications still work and at-risk people are given them. The virus evolved over time both in contagion and in symptoms, the more contagious varieties had less of a tendency to go into the lungs and stuck around the nose and throat more, making them more contagious, contagion wins Darwin's race, not virulence.
So no... Don't talk Darwin unless you want to speak of this diseases origin, which I won't. Although Delta was about as virilent as a mild flu, which is great news.

Gotta think why is it forbidden to talk about a pill worth 30 cents apiece and most places like FB and even OG won't let you type covid? To avoid conflict? wtf, it's an agenda. I have been observing a lot of US gov't hearings on the subject, but I only have weed sites for my social media LOL.

1679196185833.jpegSpring 2021 the only people on Lake Louise. It was glorious, businesses we patronized were very appreciative. Following the rules to our advantage and benefitting business. Our family became the closer than ever so it wasn't all bad for us, despite being prevented from going to our remote water access cabin in Ontario.

That's right. You are a legend.

in your own mind.
Nope just a happily married father and grandfather. And a proud Canadian. It is a Canuck political thread right? I only have one vote, like all of us. I do like to debate, one of my many weaknesses I suppose. With an avatar like yours, Id've thought you would appreciate free speech more, that man was a real legend and most probably died for his belief in freedom.

That was DoFo's fault
Totally agree, liked his brother actually, aside from the crack bit, he was the most fiscally responsible Mayor T.O. ever had. Didn't have another secret family like Mel either LOL. Look where T.O.crime has gone under the other cheating do nothing. I grew up in Scarberia, btw.

So JT's restrictions allowed you to travel to one of the most beautiful places in Alberta, but DoFo's restrictions wouldn't allow you to travel to your own cottage in Ontario?

Yep, we were restricted to travel in 2020 to our own health unit regions, and marinas were forbidden to allow non residents to use there boats. I'm a marine mechanic, in 2021 Ford said no boating in April and then reversed his stance before the May 24 weekend, fucked up our schedule at work for sure. So many small businesses went down over the past 2 years while cottage property values soared, most were bought up by corporations who now use them as airbnb's.

Of course, you aren't talking about mRNA vaccines are you? Of course not. I have every vaccine, including optional hep shots, all mine are up to date including tetanus. I'm not anti-vax at all just anti this new untested rushed through vaccine, one that the narrative evolved faster than the virus. It was a terrible virus, and no 'curve' was flattened by vaxxing. Has your local hospital increased the number of ventilators in the last couple years? Remember how important they are for serious cases survival rate?

I'm implying his laziness or following along with the narrative by not lifting restrictions was of personal financial benefit to him and the other shareholders. So at least a conflict of interest there.
I did have an experience with my local hospital and the capacity issues caused non-vaccinated patients, continuing to debate about vaccines is just flogging a dead horse.

The restrictions sucked, no one enjoyed them, but our hospitals did not have the capacity to deal with just lifting restrictions. It was tried in Alberta, and go look up what happened.

The path to peace traditionally involves eschewing politics and strife, however as Plato warned, the price for indifference to public affairs is to be ruled by evil men. So, in the end it often becomes a choice between one's own peace of mind or sacrificing it for the good of one's community and country and putting others first. Putting others first works amazingly well, if skillful means are employed, it's what makes heroes too, putting others or one's community before oneself. Compassion is the path forward and we should practice it where possible, it is a philosophy for those who practice regularly and have become sensitized, so morals and ethics must be attended to closely or practice becomes painful.
Good words for everyone. I wish polits would eschew them as well.

Agreed, I wish they were more professionally adhered to across the board, and implemented evenly. Heck I really found out how little people understood a 6' radius. Not a single hallway in most hospitals allow for anything but single file, so hence the masking. We did what we all could, but who we were following were severely flawed in their 'science' because there was no 'time' for true research or dissent.

I’m sure you spent the time beguiling your family with your long list of grievances.

Extended time with you sounds like a bad break to me.

Truly ironic. Your avatar shows Tianamen Square just before the Olympics, which was why the free press witnessed it for the world. A peoples protest crush by a military crackdown, sound a wee bit familiar? SMH I must have triggered you, nothing personal, dude. JT admires the regime, I don't.
first China Olympics were 19 years after the dude stared the tank down.

Are we allowed to talk about covid, the vaccine and the restrictions put on our citizens here? Leading into the freedom rally and the decleration of war against our own peaceful (yet persistant) protesters? Traitors yes, a PM who owns a large amount of shares in a nano-particle tech company which benefitted greatly having their patented technology in the vaccines, which has made our PM filthy rich? Or the clear answers given by Ms. Freeland during the hearings? Where does the most left leaning Canadian among you want to start? Please I'm listening.
So we are to search for your vague examples? We tend to give our sources so others can comment here. Otherwise anyone can say all kinds of stuff that is not accurate and the person(s) responding gets frustrated in having to search around trying to figure out where your opinion is coming from.

You do not understand what treason is it seems. The peaceful protesters cost Canada how much? When they impeded trade they got slapped down, the had all the freedom they needed to protest on the sidewalk.

yes correct the foreign press was there covering the meeting with Mikhael Gorbachev after the wall came down in Europe, oops. The press presence is unheard of and the people of China perhaps took advantage of this presence to illuminate the rest of the world, in hopes that the communist regime would loosen their chokehold on their own people. There was a mural of Mao that had paint thrown at it, the citizens washed it off, but that didn't help. The press presence is the only thing that gave this anything other than what is normal, time and attention. It was a long time, since I watched it live.
