You are not even gonna enjoy his trial and savor the moment...
no, i'm not.
trials are just more shit that stand between him and the punishment he deserves. Punishment that should be so draconian that it scares the ever living fuck out of anyone else contemplating being a petty dictator in America. Forced anonymity, No social platforms at all, no youtube, truth, twatter....
No interviews, No press statements, forced to live under house arrest in a tiny place with nothing but rachel maddow on the television. no kfc or mcondalds, just pre prepared microwave shit, from the closest prison....and EVERY penny he has goes to pay back all the people he fucked over and to repair as much of the damages he did as possible.

For Donald the trial and humiliation will probably be the worst part of it all, especially the TV trial in Georgia, which they won't want to broadcast. A purp walk in an orange jumpsuit with cameras flashing is probably what he fears most. I do think he will end up in a cage and not house arrest and the secret service will have to make the best out of the situation that they can. There is no provision in the law for Ex presidents, not a word about special treatment.

I get pleasure from knowing this is driving the evil simpleton mad. He will feel humiliated for the first time in his pathetic life and I don’t imagine he’s going to take it well. I wouldn’t be surprised if he loses it and confesses to trying to overturn the 2020 election.

I want to see him locked up too but that might never happen. In the meantime I’m going to enjoy watching the bastard squirm.

I find myself not feeling any joy about trump possibly finally facing the consequences of his actions.
I just want him to go away, forever. i do not care where, or under what circumstances, as long as i never have to hear from or about him again.
I am much more interested now in the fates of the magats who helped him try to carry out his incompetent, poorly planned, stupid insurrection plot.
the "freedom caucus" ALL have to go, EVERYONE who had a hand in it, everyone who knew about it and said nothing, they ALL have to go. The state officials who drew up the slates of fake electors have to go, and so do those who agreed to be those fake electors. removed from their positions, and banned from ever holding any kind of office again. NOTHING less will settle this.

Yeah, but watching him running around trying to avoid getting his head chopped off is amusing and highlights the shortcomings and inequality of the justice system.
I seem to have different amusement or entertainment thresholds. It’s like people going to races to see the crashes. I know it’s a real phenomenon, but it is something I don’t understand deep down.
Watching the justice system working badly is very … something, but amusing? I’d venture to say that would require a cruel disposition.

Donald's prosecution and public accounting will be a step in that process, and it will be a process that unfolds over time. Once they have Trump nailed for the documents and obstruction at least, then they will have a free hand to go after him and others in a big conspiracy case and those others would likely include members of congress. If Jack can get the goods on them, they are as good as gone, he just subpoenaed the entire Mar A Largo staff FFS and has Trump's mouthpiece Corcoran by the nuts over the documents case, so there is clearly more work to be done there. Meanwhile there is NY and his mugshot to be taken. Clearly Mark Meadows is not cooperating yet, but he might come to around ratting everybody out, once indicted and looking at life in prison.

I'm just joking and can be as dispassionate as the next fellow, I personally don't like blood sport. As stated, I want Donald running around loose as long as possible, but that might not be possible as the walls close in on him. The bigger prize is to win in 24, what happens to Trump is not as important as winning a hat trick in 24, it's the only way to get the full measure of justice and make changes necessary for the republic to survive. Like with Lincoln, the preservation of the union was his priority, not freeing the slaves, even though that was the cause of the war and eventual byproduct.

Trump says he expects to be arrested on Tuesday, calls for protests
Former U.S. President Donald Trump said he expects to be arrested on Tuesday in a case brought by the Manhattan district attorney's office, and called on his supporters to protest, according to a post on Truth Social on Saturday.

A spokesperson for the district attorney's office, Danielle Filson, said prosecutors "will decline to confirm or comment" on questions related to Trump's post, as well as potential charges.

Trump said, without providing evidence, that "illegal leaks" from the Manhattan district attorney's office indicated that he would be arrested. He did not say what the charges would be.

"Illegal leaks from a corrupt & highly political Manhattan district attorney's office ... indicate that, with no crime being able to be proven ... the far & away leading Republican candidate & former president of the United States of America, will be arrested on Tuesday of next week," Trump wrote.

"Protest, take our nation back!" Trump said.

In a Saturday morning post on his own social media platform, Trump said he expected to be taken into custody as the Manhattan district attorney eyes charges in the investigation into hush-money payments to women who alleged sexual encounters with the former president.

Should Trump be indicted, he would be arrested only if he refused to surrender. Trump's lawyers have previously said he would follow normal procedure, meaning he would likely agree to surrender at a New York Police Department precinct or directly to Bragg's office.

There is no evidence that prosecutors have made any formal contact to warn Trump that he would be taken into custody. A Trump spokesperson said Saturday that "there has been no notification" of a pending arrest.

it doesn't amuse me at all...
It disturbs me that the citizens of the bastion of freedom have allowed their "servants" to take control...
It is well past time to get shit back in order and stop this fucking stupidity.
The reality is Donald is the poster boy for American injustice, long before he became POTUS, he should have been locked up decades ago. Money buys justice or makes it go away in too many cases and Trump illustrates this perfectly and it might lead to needed judicial reform too.

The thing is, we might owe him a debt of gratitude when the shit finally settles.
The republicans have been planning a take over for a long time, and if they had been allowed more time to arrange things, they might have succeeded. Trump was supposed to be an easily manipulated puppet, but he turned into a manbaby monster who forced the hand of the republicans and prematurely revealed how advanced their plans were.
If they had picked someone more intelligent, less arrogant, more compliant, things could have been much, much worse. We probably would still be ignorant of their plan, which would be nearing fruition now.

Yep, Mitch had a plan to strangle American democracy in its sleep, but Trump shifted the ground under their feet by capturing their carefully cultivated base of bigots and losers. He revealed them and more importantly those who vote for them for who they truly are. Trump "woke up" the good people of America to the evil and stupidity that lurks all around them.

His lawyer said the Orange Man will surrender. But then again, OM has named the date of his arrest, calling for protests and "take our nation back". What I see is Trump calling for a protective crowd to rally around him and make his arrest a potentially violent event. At the very least, he will light a fuse for the next violent attack on our democracy.

Trump Claims His Arrest Is Imminent and Calls for Protests, Echoing Jan. 6
His indictment by a Manhattan grand jury is expected, but its timing is unclear.

Mr. Trump made the declaration on his site, Truth Social, at 7:26 a.m. on Saturday in a post that ended with, “THE FAR & AWAY LEADING REPUBLICAN CANDIDATE AND FORMER PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA, WILL BE ARRESTED ON TUESDAY OF NEXT WEEK. PROTEST, TAKE OUR NATION BACK!”

Two hours later, a spokesman issued a statement saying that Mr. Trump had not written his post with direct knowledge of the timing of any arrest, adding, “President Trump is rightfully highlighting his innocence and the weaponization of our injustice system.”

So, Tuesday is probably not when the arrest warrant will be cut. But that is when protesters will gather around the gates of whatever residence Trump is in. He's doubling down and making it ugly.

They should just go get his fat orange ass right now...let the protesters make it to florida just in time to have to turn around and head to New York, where they will receive a warm welcome from local law enforcement, i'm sure.

He will be indicted in NY and they don't like him or his supporters there, so they will need to keep them separate or the Trumpers could be in for a rough ride in NY from counter protesters. Georgia on the other hand might end up being a circus on the courthouse steps and inside the courtroom on national TV! Trials in Georgia are televised, and Donald won't like that, and neither will a lot of state republicans who will be testifying against him. I would expect the law around televising trials in Georgia to change soon, they are already trying to remove prosecutors. We will see how justice fairs in a fascist stronghold.

Do you think he will submit by traveling to NY? I'm guessing he will force an extradition and then will hole up in Florida. He's already called for a protective mob to surround him and make the whole scene ugly.
