There are people out there who would still steal it if it were $100 a pound - the same ones who get bagged stealing items at Wal-Mart.

Here’s hoping that having to put my GSD aka the Minister of State Security down in January doesn’t lead to crop loss in September due to theft. My garden is well-screened by trees and brush and the property is fully fenced, so someone would have to trespass to even see the plants. But when it comes to property protection there’s nothing like an 80 lb. active security system with teeth that can outrun, tackle and remove any intruder.

Thanks. She almost died last summer from aspiration pneumonia and was diagnosed with megaesophagus, meaning food was no longer getting pushed into her stomach and was backing up. There’s nothing that can be done for that surgically, instead you have to take extraordinary measures to get them either eating in a chair that holds them upright - or alternatively literally hold them up and burp them after every meal and drink, which is what I did. She was a pretty good sport about it and only gave me a hard nip once after she thought I was overdoing it lol

Usual prognosis for that condition in older dogs is a max three months but she hung in there for almost five, and made it to 13.5 years of age. I told everyone she would die hard, and she did. When I made the call she was down 20 lbs, hadn't been able to keep any food down for 10 days, and was frustrated from never not being hungry. Bitch was crazy tough - the day before we took The Last Ride we walked a mile in the woods.

I may get another GSD bitch someday, so I have been doing a little research on the current herding dogs performing in German sheepherding competitions just to get an idea of what’s out there. But it’s too soon right now, don’t want to be unfair to a newbie until my head clears from losing the best dog I ever had. Enjoy yours, there should be plenty of mileage left in an 8 year old GSD!

I grew 15 yrs under medical rules then changed to rec because the plant count was the same an cards were 100 bucks a yr, But they changed the plant count on rec from six per person to 3 Med card is only 28 bucks so iam back to med growing. Med growing became legal here in 1999.

I'm not aware of any change to the law from six to three plants under recreational.

Did it change?

Just looked up and this is what I saw on the Cannabis Control Commision Know the Laws page:
"Adult-use consumers may grow no more than 6 cannabis plants or up to 12 plants for two or more adults. Massachusetts law allows registered medical marijuana patients to grow up to twelve flowering and twelve vegetative cannabis plants in your home for personal use. "

Iam 2 states north of you much more liberal Cannabis laws we decriminalized in 1976

All he wants to do is run he is Czech- west German working line I have had many different breeds by far he is the smartest. We haven't been apart more than a couple hrs since i picked him up at 8 weeks we are hooked up.
He looks very well put together, as does bam’s. Seems the majority of the German flock owners who breed their own dogs and compete with them have gone over to West German working lines.

My gal was West German showline - but she had strong work ethic and drive from her sheepherding mother and confidence and toughness from her father, who was titled in French ring sport despite being the son of a two time showline world champion male. A bit punky too, the bitch didn't think the man had yet been made who she couldn’t throw out of the club lol

Regalia for PM and Budrot. Expensive but it works. I paired that with Venerate for general bug IPM
Thanks for sharing this info. Regalia may be pricey, but I have yet to hear another product that can be used in all growth stages against PM as a preventative. Bordeaux type mixtures are great for veg stage, but not for flowering (when PM pressure really takes hold).

As an aside, worked in a MA dispensary that used Regalia indoors.

Any other growers using this stuff?

I grow Afghan and Pakistani landrace strains that generally seem to have pretty good resistance to PM, which is always going to be around in my garden due to having Concord grape vines and squashes nearby.
I do spray a light peroxide solution periodically when in flower, but that’s more to control botrytis - I spray B.t. as well to try to cut down on caterpillars but there’s always some that survive and cause some mischief.

And then during harvest I bathe the branches in a light peroxide solution before hanging to eliminate any unseen mildew or mold. I grow organic and feel lucky that I can get away with not using chemical pesticides.

PM was really bad in a couple of friends’ grows last year though, whatever they were growing was plainly susceptible and they hadn’t taken any precautions. Their plants looked like seagulls had hovered over them all day shitting away, ewww…
