That machine, specifically, what's it called? I've been trying to diy one but frustration and bloody fingers say buy one.
There's all kinds of 'em on amazon. I'd get one they call the bowl or something.
You drop the nugs in, turn it on, can do like a pound/hour or something. amazon it, bro.
It costs like $100, I think.

I think somebody in RIU said those things knock the trichs off. I'm NOT a grower, dammit!
No matter what you do you will have some form of a loss. Time is valuable to me, and I'd rather not spend it hunched over trimming. I'll loose a couple trichrome to save hours of tedious labour.

Those things are the worst and molest your bud worse than a little boy at Neverland ranch
They only work with hard buds and you have to break them down into tiny popcorn size. Talk about loosing trichomes....

Jjgrow, i'm not a grower. So I try to preface any kind of advice i give
in here with that disclaimer. While I may not grow, I can read somewhat,
and so i've learned a lot in RIU! And there are others. Maybe you could recommend.

$1500 for one now. If I were making money off my grow I could maybe see the expense and definitely when I get too old but right now it stays me and the snips.

Trimpro is Canadian I think. It's a name brand and usually more exp. They use better motors and blades but the one I got for 100$ is more then adequate. Just look around you can find them. It seems like one company made all kinds and sold them off to diff companies that branded it as their own. I see the exact one from diff sellers at diff prices. This one just popped up and I scooped it up quick.

Quick search found one for 99.99

Machine is much easier than you think. Let me dig up a pic
Don't mind the shitty bud on it that was a great white shark that I scrapped because it wasnt anything I liked. You just roll the bud and move it back and forth on the grate wet. Easy as pie.
Canabrush you use on the dry bud. I don't have one and haven't tried it before but many people like it.

You can hand trim the buds more afterwards if you like. It doesn't do the job 100% I'd say 80-85% but the time saved is invaluable
Cannabrush is fucking awesome but you need to properly dry.

if i rub the leaves on this auto plant i have one direction it is smooth. the other direction it's like it has spikes or barbs...it hurts, like a shark skin or sand paper. it would mess you up it you let it

i thought i heard something about acapulco gold or other land races having this trait on a random youtube...can't recall exactly.
It's silica secretions.

Nice dude! Glad I could help. Just remember they aren't perfect so don't expect perfection. If you can I'd suggest asking to get an extra pack of blades. I find a up and down motion works best with a bit of a roll. WATCH YOUR FINGERS! You'll be happy you got it. What a time saver. I went back and forth for so long considering buying a trimpro. I even had a chance to pick one up at the expo in Toronto (lift) for 600$ but decided to wait. I've used one before and its pretty sweet, but for 100$ I figured I can't loose even if it only worked for one harvest. I used to pay people a half ounce an hour to trim for us, so I'm saving time and weed now.
Sorry for hijacking this thread.

I figure 80-90% trimmed good enough, it's not like I'm not going to break it up and put it in the grinder. And the extra material might help slow down drying times. I'll get to try it out in a few weeks.

I find it cuts the trimmings up pretty fine so you sort of loose out on some material to make extracts with but I prefer extract from buds rather than leaf anyways
If you really want to then you can fine trim the nice buds by hand afterwards.
