i usually grow photos, and I have never felt/seen anything like this. weird or normal?

edit: ok, looks like it's just stipules and fairly normal. i just never felt it pronounced enough to actually notice them.
This is awesome....

Hey fellas. I saw a straight up ufo.

It had 2 wings, an engine, and landing gear!

Oh wait.... that's just an airplane.

not sure why the hostility. it's fucked up. apparently not stipules...not sure what it is though. i had my gf feel it too...it freaked her out. if you run outward away from the stem it's smooth, moving inward to the leaf it's super rough almost like okra. i'll try to get a macro shot

Just jokes man. Don't let it bother ya. Best thing you can do when someone's joking around with you is to join in and joke on yourself. Thick skin is a necessity round here. You'll have a better time if you don't get butthurt about it.
I've had raspy leaves before. It's just a trait some plants carry. No biggie.

just trying get some advice from knowledgeable people. i know a few are on here. where i live you don't talk about grow club, so this is my only avenue. also, i thought it was neat as it is rarely mentioned. dinosaur plants.

I think some of us have been around for long enough that we forget about all the funny things we used to do or talk about when it was still exciting. Now it's just routine work. Still enjoyable, just work.

i hadn't seen this one....and, been growing on and off since 2001. it's actually pain in the ass, and sometimes i am too tired to do all the work. i used to make a long drive a couple times a year instead, but the risk and cost is too high. it was super stressful too. most grows i didn't learn very much as my environment was different each time (apartments, garages, now indoors). then i ran a few grows of the same strain in the same place for a long time and that was great. started back up a few cycles ago. first one in the summer inside was a breeze, except trimming a lb while working 16 hour a day. second one was shit, 33% yield of the prior...during the winter and household temp was too cold. I also made a mistake with a new fan that had very small led on it. the current one has been ok, but just can't get it to pop right. i'll have it dialed and then a few plants lose it and i am back to square one.

A small led on a fan dont make any diff. I have lights on my pump timer, power bar etc. No fucks given
There's way better ways to trim with machines and even little silicon brushes (cannabrush..?) nowadays, and they are priced fairly decent. I picked up a trimmer on amazon for 100bucks. What took me 4 hrs before takes 20mins now.

not sure i am confident yet in machine trimmers. it would make things easier for sure...i have bad vision and trimming sucks. it's easier to wet trim right now, but a silicon brush might be worth a try.

Machine is much easier than you think. Let me dig up a pic
Don't mind the shitty bud on it that was a great white shark that I scrapped because it wasnt anything I liked. You just roll the bud and move it back and forth on the grate wet. Easy as pie.
Canabrush you use on the dry bud. I don't have one and haven't tried it before but many people like it.

You can hand trim the buds more afterwards if you like. It doesn't do the job 100% I'd say 80-85% but the time saved is invaluable
