Waterfall system revamp

So, revamping my whole thing. Small grow for 1 person, not me but the better half due to me still being randomed. Anyways, had a 4 site waterfall thing going and the plan never came to fruition. Would only get 2-3 plants plants to grow, pain in the ass to get to the back of the tent to tend to them. Had mild to good success, and have more than enough to last a good while without a constant crop.

Looking to reduce to 1 or 2 totes with a waterfall. First thought was 2 sites, but now i think about it, 1 site sounds like a good simple 1 plant system could be awesome and be more than what I/she needs. A good long veg and a dedicated res with 1 variety at a time as opposed to multiple varieties in 1 res?

Thoughts? I've only ever done hydro, and would like to keep it hydro. 5x5 tent, 400 true watt LED, dehuy, humidy, heater, exhaust, and enviro controllers all already accounted for.

So. 1 site waterfall in a 5x5 ?

I would look at other ways of growing if it’s just one big plant like DTW coco or even recycling with hydroton in say a good bucket company bucket kit in the 5G size. Super easy system that grow like crazy and very easy to maintain and not all the work DWC is. I know DWC can grow super fast and when setup and ran right works great but it’s still lots of work in my opinion. Heck a single coco DTW hand watered in a 5G bucket is super easy and would produce plenty but it’s real easy to set it up to auto feed and drain just keep res full of solution.

You may very well be right. However I am familiar with the RDWC waterfall, and have it fairly automated where i can leave it for a few days.more thinking to do.

Yeah I’m sure after using if for a while you have it down but setup right you could leave a DTW grow for as long as the res has water. But I get it it’s hard to switch to something not known when you know the current system
