Another vote for predatory mite. Looks like a garden friend to me :)
I like that answer better then root aphids lol I am seeing some damage on the leaves but I think it's probably more environment/light/nutrient related.

But if these are in my room wouldn't that mean I probably have something they are feeding on? There's a lot of them so they must be eating something right?

yeah they eat fungus gnat or thrips larvae and eggs mostly but they are not predators exactly they are scavengers which means they will also eat dead plant material too. like algae, decaying leaves and many other things when there is nothing to hunt. if you see damage on your leaves thats not from hypoaspis. them being there is a very good line of defence against any pest which spends at least a part of its lifecycle in soil.
