So the sand melted into the ice and was good for a few hours lol now it's snowing so I guess I'm just gonna get my hockey skates out and shovel a rink

We have had about an inch of sleet snow and ice mixed with rain. 25*f. Everything is about impossible. Possible significant icing tomorrow.

Wet snow has its advantages too. Makes hits out of all kinds of natural terrain. But they don't call it Sierra Cement for nothing, . Here in CO it's always dry snow so we don't get the same natural hits like the West Coast. But hey it sounds like you've already got a good base layer so bring on the light shit.
