I know that @farmerfischer mentioned that the cup should stand on it's own merits. But I'm wondering if you guys are cool with this in lieu of a heat mat. This weekend and week the days/nights are getting a little cooler around here. Around -15°C day time high and around -20°C at night when lights are out in the basement. This is just for the seedling stage. I do this when I'm germinating seeds in the furnace room as well.

Rule 27, subsection C, addendum 17, where it plainly states that "...and no cup shall be supported externally to maintain upright stability with any glues, adhesives, strings, cord or cordage of any kind, superstructures, etc. " but in a footnote it says "...a towel, however, whether or not in conjunction with heating mat, is acceptable during the first 21 days from origin date indelibly printed on cup."

@Billy the Mountain , I caught your post before you deleted it lol. Outside temps so I'm just playing it safe since the tent is just under a window. Basement temp is maintained at about 20°C.

A "Flap Jacks" from In-House Genetics. This gal sprouted last week. She's currently hanging out in my seedling tent. She's a lil stretchy, but I'm too lazy to get her closer to the light. I'll be moving her to a flower tent in a couple weeks, right after I take a cut. She's being grown in some recycled organic soil. I'll likely periodically top dress her with bat guano and castings, but I'll also feed her some dyna-gro foliage pro, cal mag, and some protekt. She'll also get some aloe powder and molasses occasionally.

Repositioned it in the cup and will do so again in the next week or so when I change out the soil. I’m not happy with the batch of promix as it’s holding too much water/not enough aeration and my root structure on this thing is pathetic. It’s totally choked out. This plant could also very well be a male as I’ve lost track of what’s what. Im hoping/banking it’s either a Lemon G x Grape Pie bx s1 or a Cheetah Piss x MB15 s1.

You sure have it close enough to the light, though not sure you are going to get the results you might be hoping for.
