Hey guys growing 2 fastbuds autos and one is in pre flower. This gorilla cookies is on day 30 atm and thinking about adding canna boost to the feed. Ive seen people say to wait a lil longer to allow more stretch and veg growth but buds look to be forming so is now the time? The forbidden runtz next to her still hasnt pre flowered but looks to be very soon. 9A10A768-8CF6-4FAB-B916-AC39E749B0FA.jpeg6452FBA7-C980-4401-A9F3-03D1E2A804AB.jpeg

I start using a bloom fertilizer straight away and figure out the strength by checking plants every couple days, if leaves are limey like yours are, then I will apply more Nitrogen, if the leaves are curling & dark, I will apply less Nitrogen (less base fertilizer).
During the flowering stage of the cannabis growth cycle, the plants' nutrient needs change as the buds mature and prepare for harvest. The following is a general overview of the NPK (nitrogen, phosphorous, and potassium) requirements during the different weeks of the flowering stage:

Week 1-2 (Early flowering): The focus should be on phosphorous to support the development of buds and roots, with adequate levels of potassium to promote stem and leaf health.

Week 3-4 (Mid flowering): The plants will continue to need a higher amount of phosphorous, but they will also require increased levels of nitrogen to support the growth of the buds.

Week 5-6 (Late flowering): The plants will require less nitrogen and increased levels of potassium to support the maturity and quality of the buds.

Week 7-8 (Ripening): During the ripening stage, the plants will require much less nutrients as they focus on maturing the buds and preparing for harvest.

i always thought you sposed to give them a sort of half veg/half bloom mix for a few weeks before switching to just bloom

That's news to me. My girls have never been given any BLOOM specific food during the last few weeks of VEG.
... I feed veg until stretching ends ...
I too have tried this and didn't find much difference between BLOOM food right after 12/12 and VEG food for a few weeks after 12/12

most nutrient feed guides i have seen suggest a half/half grow/bloom mix after week 4 for a few weeks or as bam0813 said just veg until stretching stops

I don't think the clawing is from N. They look overwatered more than anything.
yes they look overwatered to me at a first glance too but that extreme clawing and roided up looking veins on the leaves makes me think too much N.

i dont know your feeding regimen. i dont grow in coco but if you want help write down some nutes, ppms and ph

Wait ..coco? Pretty sure you should be feeding that daily to good runoff but i don’t grow in coco either

I had read the exact same thing and planned on using a combo of 1/2 VEG & 1/2 BLOOM nutes after flip until the pistils appeared. But that didn't work well. This is what I had witnessed.

Before that first week was up, the larger fan leaves began to develop the brownish-purple pigment - like you normally see much later in flower - cause they were a little lacking with only 1/2 the recommended levels of P and K.

With feeding the BLOOM nutes only right at flip, that discolouration did not appear in the leaves.

With autos, i switch the feed as soon as I see flower-heads starting. With photos, I switch the feed at the time of flipping the lights to flower.

I think the switching to bloom nutrients is a money grab. The main thing is to use a good base of nutrients, and if growing with chemicals, slowly increase the PPM each week. If growing an 8 week flowering strain, increase base nutrients from seedling stage, up until week 6 of flowering, and then start cutting back in weeks 7-8.
Cutting back on Nitrogen in flowering is also a myth. All Nitrogen is to a plant if Protein. When a plant is flipped to 12/12, it will grow more than it ever has, and will also produce more hormones, and other chemicals. It makes no logical sense to cut off Nitrogen/ Protein when you are going to grow the most, and produce the most chemicals in your life. The important thing is the NPK ratio.

In an 8 weeks strain they may benefit from a 0-52-36 MPK boost in weeks 3-4, and in weeks 5-6 may benefit from an Epsom salts boost.

Hyrdo Gardens who makes plant specific fertilizers, and have since the 80s, and fertilizers in general sine the 70s, says going by tissue analysis, they came to the conclusion to use a base formula of
4-20-39
15.5-0-0 Calcium Nitrate
Epsom salts, is the most correct ratio throughout the plants life cycle.

Just increase the PPM as the plants get bigger, usually a small amount each week from seedling- week 6 of bloom, with a boost in MPK at weeks 3-4, and Epsom salts boost in weeks 5-6. They do not change the basic formulation, only the PPM, and a boost of MPK, and Epsom salts in specific weeks.
If the plants are shorter, or longer flowering, adjust accordingly. And some strains may need more Iron, but this is not for the majority of strains.

They say that basically the best ratio of NPK is a 1-1-2 all through the grow. 19.5-20-39.

so i thought it was overwatering too a while back but now i think its just a bad seed. I have forbidden runtz next to her on the same feeding schedule everything the same but shes lush nd healthy unlike this one. I thought it was overwatering earlier when it was like this but letting it dry out abit still had her drooping so it wasnt overwatering. You can check my other post to see what i mean.
You can see shes nice nd healthy bushy no discolouration compared to the flowering one just not in pre flower yet.

Right there is a glaring problem. Put pot on a riser ( small plastic crate ) to allow air circulation. Oxygen to roots.
Root rot is a real problem and can just fuck up your effort.

‘That plant is not happy. Most likely because it’s always soggy.

Let medium continue to feed it as is. Water only when dry. Not on some time table.
Run “ Bloom nutes “ after stretch.…… that is the time plant actually “ is in bloom “.

So ive been watering when 50% of the top layer of soil seems dry seeing as its coco not letting it dry completely.
That sounds like an idea ill try that today i had a feeling but just thought oh theyre fabric pots oxygen shouldnt be an issue.
