I think the V angle means they are pulling nutes up at a great rate of growth. The tips look a little crisp maybe due to hard water. The purple stems, I get all the time too. It might be a deficiency or nute lock up. Here is a nutrient deficiency chart.

you need to get your ph at 6.5 thats when your roots will absorb the most nutreints evenly.

test the run off after you water and check the ph

Hey thanks guys...so when u say check the PH of the run off water does that mean dip my PH meter in the excess water that flows oyta thge bucket into my tray? Im guessing so...thanks for the help again!
