Maybe something simple like documents are read, then destroyed?

i think there should be a courier from the military that brings the documents where they need to go, they wait, and then return them the same day.
It begins to seem obvious that there are not nearly enough security measures in place to ensure the security of these documents that politicians on both sides seem to be pretty blase about.

I will return in a bit to here you say I am correct about the law. If you do enough research you will also find that trump fucked himself because in 2018 he actually helped upgrade it to a felony punishable by up to 5 years in prison.

Whoever, being an officer, employee, contractor, or consultant of the United States, and, by virtue of his office, employment, position, or contract, becomes possessed of documents or materials containing classified information of the United States, knowingly removes such documents or materials without authority and with the intent to retain such documents or materials at an unauthorized location shall be fined under this title or imprisoned for not more than one year, or both.

Simply mishandling and misplacing a classified document and then immediately returning it when found is not a chargeable offense. Sorry skiilly, you got egg on your face.

I think the deviation is the intention bit in that code. It's being pointed out that Trump intentionally kept documents and used the legal system to keep his lark going. Biden got any documents found back to the respective "owners" of the documents. ie. the Government. pretty quickly without the media pomp and circumstance that goes along with the Trump nonsense.

So you want me to believe that Biden did not retain these documents in an an unauthorized location and immediately returned them considering the documents were from when he was vice president. It said retain at an unauthorized location. It didn't specify the time period. Biden did retain documents at an unauthorized location. I'm not a lawyer though.
