Mycorrhizal - (great shark), (biosys) or (TNC)?

As of last year, all North American manufacturers of myco products must adhere to the same labelling guidelines per the AAPFCO. All of these myco products have viable propagules-they are more regulated than ever before. Notice they don't specify spores, nor are spores necessarily the best type of "propagule", it's just a catch all term that includes spores, hyphae, and root fragments ("root fragments" contain both spores and hyphae), so the biggest difference between products lies in the concentration. For me, it's all about the honesty and integrity of the product, and it rubs me the wrong way when I see these big bags of low propagule count mycorrhizae being sold. It's dishonest and a waste of packaging and unnecessarily increases shipping weight, etc. They are selling huge bags of filler as a marketing ploy. The more concentrated the myco product, the more honest it is-for me anyway. If Promix sold their myco product in the USA, I'd buy it in two different situations: 1. If my grow were large enough to make use of 250 grams in a reasonable amount of time, and 2. If they decided to sell it in smaller amounts.
You can buy it in a 'sample pack' here too it's 10 bucks 25g

Sweet, ty. I requested a free sample from the company, but if that's a no go, I'll order it from them. I read about this stuff in a trade magazine last year sometime, tried to get some, then forgot about it. Thanks for reminding me! Nothing gets me hyped like high propagule counts LOL...I'll use this stuff in my next grow journal.

It's fucking sweet
It is exp but the way I see it is if I can save me time it saves me money. If I can squeeze out an extra cycle per year because of all that saved time then actually I'm in the pos

Tnc
I used them in my hydro and in chilly works great.they keep a stable ph of 6.4. allsoo have their bacteria that makes the ph a little bit higher and you can visiblly see when they multiply in the tank, water gets black from them.you can put 1kg of ph down in 24h back to the same

And the price is dirt cheap compared to the rest i think 5$ for a 75g bag you need half a tea spoon for a couple if plants.

The only good third party data we have on microbe/myco products comes from the State of Oregon. They do make it hard to find, so hopefully this helps! Go here, and look at the PDF files under "reports and guides"-look through the "micro results" pdfs. You'll find most micro/myco products that people mention in the forums have no active cultures or 100x less than they claim: https://www.oregon.gov/oda/programs/Pesticides/Fertilizers/Pages/ReportsPublicationsForms.aspx

I like this stuff. The price is good. 8000 props/gram and the guys at Black Swallow have EVERY organic input I have ever seen.

Its worth the drive for me.

Ya Rob Knechtel and his fam/employees are great. Always wanting to help and offer advice. Great people. I also make the drive (not too far for me) once in a while if I'm getting large items. Otherwise I'll just have it shipped. Saves me the time and gas moneys, and I generally get it the next day or two
