Humidity and temp in tent..

How are you guys getting humidity lower in your tent? I can't get mine to drop below 50. Usually it's around 52-54% but when lights are off 50 and temp is 73-75 when lights are off. Just been freaking out about getting late in flower and the humidity being too high and temps being too low when light is off

Check out Vapour Pressure Deficit. Check your temps vs corresponding humidity levels. If you can balance your humidity out with its corresponding temp, plants will thrive.

I would treat with EM-5. Mix it with a wetting agent and you can build up the natural resitances the plant has to prevent mildew and all the nasty problems that come with high humidity.

I had a huge problem with mildew and once its in the spores are everywhere. I use EM-5 on every 14 days and Potassium Bicorbanate every 14 days (last treatment week 2 of flower). No mildew or bud rot since.

Whats nice about EM-5 is that you can use it during late flower. Because of it being microorganisms, its harmless and doesnt seem, based on my experience, to have any negative effects on the plant.

One thing that I have learnt that might help you along your journey is that ideal conditions, are, well, ideal. If you can reach them, that is amazing but not everyone has the money to buy the equipment that you need to keep things at an ideal. Its okay to stray away from certain markers as long as you are paying attention to the possible side effects of them. Look outside, nothing is consistent. These plants are made for rainy conditions, hot and dry windy temperatures. They are resilient.

Just look at your environmental conditions and pay attention to them and the impact they have on your plants. Work from there.

If these spikes are unavoidable, ensure you have something in your arsenal you can use to prevent the side effects that high humidity might have. Keep that mindset going and you will do just fine.

I have overstressed myself about conditions that have very little impact on my grows but what I read on forums should crop ruining. Love and nurture, take care and you will do just fine. Neglect on the other hand and forget about it.

Kind of the same problem.

At present I'm using 4 inch exhaust fan was told 6 inch was too big.

And having a bugger of time keeping RH down but I'm using Fiber Pots because I was told they are best but I do have plastic buckets with drain holes .

Missouri is very humid.

The power of marketing, I believe is the reason so many newer growers are growing autos and using fabric pots. I don't have the energy to even get started on the whole 12 bottles of nutrients crap.

So for Photos plastic would be better? I can move plastic easier.

Went to 3 on Nutes.

Need to move this up to Newbie.

Your next step is a humidifier.

I do not think that the change from fabric pots to plastic pots is going to make much of a difference. When I switched from bottled nutrients and started growing in soil the humidity dropped quite substantially in my room. I use fabric pots.

What will definitely make a difference is if you do some form of mulch. What medium are you growing in?

Happy Frog.

I just planted some rooted Clones and put Vermiculite around them for a barrier for Gnats.

If you are growing in soil, I would recommend getting some organic material that can be broken down over time.

I use Alfalfa, Lucerne and Dandelions at the moment. Then I cover that with Hay. I use worms and springtails in my mix aswell. They get the process moving along quickly. Then I use a variation of beneficials and teas to get a nice abundant microbiology going.

This just takes me out of the equation amd allows the plant to control its food intake.
