damn, i probably got 40 pounds of it in my garage still. lol.

you could use really big chunks of perlite. i've seen some use glass marbles. there's also Growstones here in the US.

I used Hyrdoton but you can use lava rock .

Didn't know about hydroton so I used marbles when I first started.. Kinda heavy..

Should be able to pick up clay balls at pretty much any garden shop/center? It's not like its unique to weed farmers?
Might not be hydroton branded, but clay balls are clay balls, they are all the same.
