When to increase nutrients

When monitoring the run off EC from coco when is a clear sign you need to increase feed? Is it when the EC of the run off is Lower than the input EC

Similarly when is the signs to reduce EC when the EC run off has spiked?

I don't monitor runoff ec or ph. If your input parameters are on point, that's all you need.
