The paper towel method - too many "moving parts".... The only thing I would add would be a peroxide rinse for the seed for about an hour before dropping onto the paper towel. Helps to keep everything clean ...
Exactly. Seeds have been popping in dirt without our help for millennia. Ask the crabgrass that will show up in my lawn come late July. That shit wasn't sprouted between two plates.... or simply put in dirt water and wait ...
I tested it this time I used paper towel method and put some in straight dirt. The ones I put in dirt all popped thru the soil within 2-3 days but it took close to a week for me to germinate them in paper towel and for them to come out the dirt. Sprouting in soil won't risk tearing young tender roots trying to remove them from the paper towels. It also prevents your partner from chucking 10 germinating seeds cause she is in one of her "clean-up moods".... I tested it this time I used paper towel method and put some in straight dirt.
