:( I have mites HELP ME PLEASE!!!

So I'm sure most of you have had to deal with this. I am so bummed out. I have such a good SOG going and now it's all infected, there's only like 1 or 2 mites per leaf but ug, how depressing, as soon as you have everything going well...

So what are my options, I have 3 boxes. One is a clone box full of fresh, untainted clones that I just picked up tonight. I moved all the plants that we in that box into box #2 which is my 2nd veg box. Then I have a flowering box, the plants have been flowering for only a week now.

How do I get rid of them? Cost is not an issue, I spent so much time on these babies getting the perfect strain the way I like it. Please, suggestions.

Also, is there anyway to sterilize that clone box so my news clones (from 'buddy') won't be infected?

i use doktor doom foggers.
its pyrethium but in a fogger so you cant miss a spot and reinfest.
they are fairly inexpensive and very effective

Wrong forum but you need to spay with a miticide. Try neem oil, you can dip the young ones in it. There are also predatory mites that will attack the spider mites and you can use Tanglefoot as a barrier around the lip of your box and stems. You need to disinfect that room with a 5% bleach solution and keep it clean and lower the temp in the room to 60F. This will slow down reproduction. Also spray plants with cold water....they like hot dry, make cold wet.

So I've been doing a bit more reading (you guys know how terrible it feels when something you poured your heart into for years getting everything just right) and I don't know if they are spide mites, spider mites appearently have two dots on them, these ones are pure black with 4 white legs and I see no webbing at all. Are miticide's safe? I have no bud yet so I'm not too too worried about the chemicals (although a am a health guy, if they were flowering now I'd shuck them out). So neem oil is good for these lil black buggers? Can I relax a bit knowing I might not lose the entire crop?

Any idea where I can buy latebugs in the winter? Also, how much does a praying mantis cost and can I get one at the pet store? If that bugger will keep em safe I will go out at 8am tommorow and buy one

Just put it on a rag and clean the hell out of the box? Like these clones I got are all grade A females, I can't lose them cause I traded 'buddy' with one of mine, he gave me a call pissed off (obviously) telling me he's destroyed them and I should seperate mine asap, and that's when I took a closer look and found mites 1 or 2 on every 3rd leaf or so.

doesnt sound like spider mites if they are black. yes the dr doom is safe for your plants, it is made of pyrethrin which is derived from crysanthimum flowers

I'm trying to get a picture with my camera and microscope, still working on it so we can figure out what kind of mite it is. Will a proaying mantis try to escape my box or if I leave it some food will it just chill there? If I buy a praying mantis will he take care of em all or do I need the ladybugs as well?

I will fog it if it will kill them all and their eggs once and for all, but if a praying mantis does just as well... I could use a pet

Try Zero Tolerance it has Ed Rosenthals name on the bottle! I got it at discounthydro.com They have specials for UK customers too. The miteicide and the pesticide work great and smell good too. I have allways bombed with pyrethium then sprayed with Einstein Oil, but this stuff works better and is not that expensive. Good Luck! Mites Suck!

can someone identify these? The best I could do with the equipement I have. Anyone know of the matis questions, I really like that idea if it would work?

Thanks so much for all the advice, whatever we decide at the end of this post is what I will go get tommorow morning.

most def. the two spotted spider mite. again, check my sig.. i would do nicotine tea first.. it was way more effective for me than any bomb, and i used a 4.0 percent when dr doom and others are about .25-.5 percent

Ya I read it, I'd just really rather a natural way to keep it all clean and not have to disinfect every week.

Very very discouraged. Half of me just wants to give up and go back to paying top dollor for shitty weed that dosn't help my medical condition (panic disorder) at all.

nicotine tea is natural, just nicotine, a little soap and water. treat every 3 days and you will be ok, especially if there are just a few per leaf. also which state do you live in? in cali certain sotres will sell this white vial under the counter that contains floramite, which will kill all mites in one application, and keep em gone for at least 30 days
