New growth clawing

Hey everyone,
Second time grower here. My 46 day old Bruce Banner auto was doing well, but I noticed the new growth is clawing pretty hard. Just got background, I'm growing in Sohum living soil, 5 gal fabric pots in a 4x2 tent, under a Spider farmer SF2000 on a 20/4 schedule. No added nutrients only tap water (not pH'd). I try to keep the environment in check and follow a VPD chart - Temps pretty steady between 75-77 and humidity was around 55-60 (lowered humidity slightly today). I'm leaning toward N toxicity or possibly light intensity (it was hanging 15" above, but moved it up to 18" today just in case.) But I'm just not sure. I've read online this may be normal with living soil as the plants need time to adjust to the slightly hot soil, but I don't really want to rely on that. Can anyone offer some insight?

There is! Indirectly, but directly enough that she moves slightly. Could this be a concern?

Can explain the shape of the leaves easily enough.

Still learning too, but my first guess would be too much light, as it’s happening at the highest portion of the plant. You should ph your tap water also, just to make sure you‘re in range. Is your tap water chlorinated? That’s a concern too. I would be adding nutes for flowering. Again, just learning too, but reading a lot as well over the past months. Obsession inducing, innit?

It looks like n p and possibly k toxicity. Those spindly yellow leaves on the tops and the dark green fans. I think the soil is super hot. And autos get weird with too much food. Just my guess.

Is there a method of flushing soil to reduce the amount N?

Yea light intensity was definitely the first thing I tweaked. My tap water comes out of the faucet chlorinated, but I fill a 5 gallon bucket and let it sit for several days to give it time for the chlorine to dissipate. My last grow I was using RO water, but was told that tap would be better since it contains some minerals that RO doesn't. Obsessive for sure! It's hard not to be obsessed with all the info out there, you feel like you could be missing something.

My 2 cents -

Water it only - no food or supplements.
Let it work through the excess ( hot soil ) on its own.
Water only when needed. Let it try to exhaust the heavy nutes its sitting in. Even their description of soil states its “ like a fully stocked kitchen “ as far as nute density. Maybe even cut it with mild potting soil on future grows.

Next time - a simple potting mix would carry an auto for weeks.

I definitely plan to cut it with a more mild potting soil next time. My first grow, I had a third pot that I just used Happy Frog in and that plant did really well. No noticeable deficiencies or N toxicity (I helped it along with compost tea and BuildASoil Compost). I gave my current plants a heavy watering in hopes of washing some of the nitrogen out, but will let it dry between now and the next watering. Thanks for the advice!

No she's drinking fine. I like to let the pot get light between waterings and I've had to water every 2 days for the most part. Despite the apparent N toxicity, she's continued to grow pretty rapidly!
