I ordered a medic grow fold 8 and am trying to decide whether to cram it into my 4x4 or order a 5x5. I'm just not sure if it's enough to flower out the 5x5. It claims to flower 4x4 commercial, 5x5 personal.
Any thoughts?

I'm going to order the tent today if it's worth it.

What do you all think?

It shows PAR numbers at 24" height for a 4x4 tent hitting well over 800 at the edges. Since the sweet spot for PAR is around 750, a 5x5 is probably fine... there might be numbers out there for a 5x5 somewhere.

There's a video on there where it's tested. In the 5x5 the worst corner got down to low to mid 500's I think.

I ended up watching that video because I was procrastinating. Dude seemed super impressed with it and said it's perfect for a 5x5. So, if you have the money burning a hole in your pocket and need the space, probably go 5x5.

But, I'd be tempted to run it in a 4x4 if I already had one, though, and drop it down to about 80% like he does in the video.

I think they did 4x4 and 5x5 maps for this light on the cocoforcannabis site, maybe someone already mentioned this. It would do well in a 5x5.

I went ahead and ordered an Ac Infinity 5x5.
Dropping a couple more seeds atm to fill out the space.

A T6 should be enough for extraction right? In a cool basement, heats never really been an issue. More humidity.
I really don't feel like lugging out an 8" fan again. The ducting is a pita..

Yes. My T8 is enough for my 6x12 room.

I think I'm using the same light called Cultiuana, in a 5x5 tent.

Possibly a little shy around the edges in terms of ideal but imo enough when the bulk of the plants is under the footprint.

My canopy is 4x4.6 at 92% it's on the edge of what my plants can take at 7-8"

I found 20% increments fine until after 80%.

I got a light controller but not before I'd worked out you can fit a dimmer to a rj11/ lead.
Control the light 0-100%.

Your light does look pretty comparable. A different chipset (medic grow is samsung lm301z+/osram) and a little lower watts, but pretty much the same. Hopefully I can get some similar results then.

Looked up the dimmer thread. Ordered pieces to put one together. Saves $199 on a controller. Thanks for the heads up.
