Hello everyone and I hope your all well. I’m a recovering addict, and while it is controversial in the recovery community, I still partake in weed and kratom. A lot would say that is not sober, and technically it is not, but it’s been working for me.

Anyone else actively participate in recovery and still smoke grass? Just wondering how many of us are out there. Much love.

I got lucky and tried (probably shitty) heroin about 4 or 5 times about 20+ years ago. And it made me sick every time and I absolutely hated it. I've always had a big aversion to puking.

Coke on the other hand… took me throwing disc golfs on the course at 4am at nothing to realize I should probably quit.

I lived through the cocaine days of the 80's. Started out snorting and ended up freebasing like many of that era did. It was only for a few years and then I woke up one morning and said screw this. I quit cold turkey and haven't touched any hard drugs since. I was never as bad off as some people. I always maintained a job and paid my bills so I never experienced any of the "rock bottom" some do. I quit because I realized that I was missing out on life and that had to end.

I still have my vices. I enjoy drinking IPA's and will never stop however I do take extended breaks from alcohol consumption and don't drink everyday. I'm the same with cannabis.

It's harder for some than others to just stop using something. It doesn't matter if it's drugs, food, coffee, etc...

Good luck

Hey there. How's it going, guys? I'd like to refresh this thread a bit with my 2 cents. Actually, it takes courage to put yourself out there like that, so good on you! As for your question, I can definitely see how it would be controversial in the recovery community to still partake in weed and kratom, even if it's working for you. It's really up to each person to decide what's best for them and their recovery journey. I personally don't smoke weed, but I know some people who do, and they're still in recovery. I think it's all about finding what works for you and what keeps you on the path of sobriety. If you ever need any resources or support for long term residential drug treatment, feel free to reach out. There are some great options out there that could help you on your journey. Stay strong, and keep up the good work.
2 things:

1. If you don't smoke weed, why are you on this forum?
2. Do you have nudes?

Edit:. Dammit. Should've known she was too hot to be anything other than spam.
